"Alright team! We have 20 minutes before dinner begins. This is the time for everyone to grab a tasting spoon and try out the food and let me know if there's anything that needs to be remade!" Xiangling shouted to her team of culinary experts.

Today was the lantern rites festival and they were about to serve a buffet style dinner to everyone in the city. Xiangling and her father had been given the rights to cater the whole function and it was spectacular for their business. When Xiangling turned 18, her father had officially passed the restaurant on to her but he would occasionally come around when she needed an extra pair of hands, just like tonight.

It was a giant buffet style function with over 30 dishes to offer so she needed a huge team with her. There were seats all around the city for everyone to sit at with their delicious food and friends and family.

The real kicker of the night though was the entertainment. Xinyan was headlining the event for tonight and Xiangling couldn't wait! Over the last several years that Xinyan had been in Liyue, she had amassed a huge fanbase and now nearly the whole of Liyue was on board with her rock n' roll style of music.

Xiangling wanted to serve everyone as quickly as possible so she could get a front row seat to Xinyan's music. Admittedly, Xiangling had developed a bit of a crush on the fiery pyro user who also happened to love her cooking. Xinyan had visited her and her father's restaurant so often whenever she was in the city. Xinyan would even stay up late sometimes just talking to Xiangling. Xinyan always had high praises for her cooking and Xiangling had equally high praises for Xinyan's music.

After doing the last tasting with the team, Xiangling was satisfied with how the food tasted. She always did this before a food service because she wanted everything to be perfect. She didn't want to ruin the restaurant that she and her father spent so much time building.

"Alright everyone! Please head to your station, we will begin dinner service now!" Xiangling shouted. Her team dispersed and went to their respective station. Soon a flood of guests filled the pavilion with plates in their hands. They visited each station, picking up whatever food intrigued them.

Xiangling smiled to herself when she heard all the positive feedback from the hungry guests. She was so happy that everything was going smoothly. Since the serving of the food was going smoothly, she went back to the kitchen to help her team prepare more food since she saw how many trays of food were already empty.

Xiangling gasped and almost dropped the tray of Tianshu pork she was carrying when she heard the familiar and distinct sound of Xinyan's beautiful music. She quickly rushed out of the kitchen with the tray of cooked foods. She'd send someone else to help in the kitchen while she served the food, that way she'd still get to see the concert.

Xiangling had a huge grin on her face as she did a small little dance to the up-beat music. Xiangling was so entranced by Xinyan that she walked away from her crew. While it was busy, she believed her crew could handle it all so she walked away to get closer to the stage.

Xinyan was such a ball of energy on the stage. The way she played her guitar riffs were amazing and her voice was so powerful and soothing. Xiangling jammed along to the music but she kept her eyes on Xinyan the whole time.

At one point Xiangling's heart skipped a beat when Xinyan's eyes found hers. Xinyan gave her a little grin and Xiangling swore she would have fainted right then and there. The concert went on for nearly an hour and now they were wrapping things up for the grand lantern releasing event.

Xiangling gasped as an idea came to her. She rushed back to the kitchen and she was like a whirlwind around the kitchen. She quickly whipped up a dish of some super spicy Jueyun chili chicken and she rushed out the door. Xiangling nervously walked to the backstage of the venue and looked around the area. She noticed Xinyan standing a little ways from her packing up her instruments.

Xiangling closed her eyes and whispered a quick prayer to Rex Lapis before walking towards her idol. Xiangling didn't even understand why she was so gosh darn nervous. Xinyan had been around the restaurant frequently and they spent a lot of time talking to each other but that familiarity didn't do anything to reduce her nerves.

"H-Hi Xinyan."

Xinyan looked up from her stuff and grinned widely at her guest.

"Heya Xiangling. Didn't expect to see ya here. Did you enjoy the concert?" Xinyan asked, knowing that Xiangling absolutely loved her music.

"The concert was wonderful as always." Xiangling blushed. Her grip on the container of food tightened. "H-here. This is for you. You must be pretty hungry after that show so I thought I would make you your favourite dish."

Xinyan's eyes widened slightly, she didn't expect this but she was super grateful because she was starving. Xinyan wanted to do a little happy dance when she saw that it was her favourite chicken dish. She graciously took the food from Xiangling and took a seat on top of an amp.

"Have a seat babe, you must be tired after all the running and cooking you did today." Xinyan said, patting the spot beside her. Xiangling walked to Xinyan's side with a blush on her face. She hopped up onto the amp but she couldn't bring herself to look at Xinyan.

Much to the relief of Xiangling though, she didn't have to do much talking. Xinyan immediately launched into a recount of her day as she took bites of her food in between. Xiangling was on cloud nine sitting beside Xinyan and listening to her amazing voice. It made her even happier to see how much Xinyan loved her food.

Xinyan finished her food and put the container aside before jumping off the amp, startling Xiangling. Xiangling's eyes widened when Xinyan outstretched her hand towards her.

D-did Xinyan want her h-hand? Xiangling blushed at the idea.

Xinyan wiggled her fingers as if to say 'come on now.' She grinned at Xiangling who she clearly knew was a little shy. This was such a drastic difference to how she was in the kitchen. Xinyan would sometimes stop by the restaurant when she was passing through Liyue. When she glanced through the back, she always saw how Xiangling was always so in control as she moved around the kitchen with pure confidence. Xinyan found it so freaking adorable that Xiangling was now being shy.

"You've been working hard all day feeding the city. You still have a festival to enjoy and I don't want to miss out either. So what do ya say?" Xinyan grinned. Xiangling gasped, she couldn't believe this. Her inner fangirl was screaming and jumping around like crazy but on the outside she was as red as her pyro vision.

"I-I would love that." Xiangling said, slipping her hand into Xinyan's.

Xinyan smiled down at Xiangling as she led the young woman out through the streets of the city.

"By the way babe, your food was delicious, as always." Xinyan praised. She leaned over and pressed a chaste kiss to Xiangling's soft cheek.

Xiangling gasped and stumbled on her feet but Xinyan stopped her from falling. Xinyan laughed out loud before wrapping her arm around Xiangling's shoulders and pulling her tight against her side.
