Eula woke up to the bright sun filtering through her room's curtains. She pushed herself up and stretched her arms upwards. She looked to her side to see her sweet girlfriend fast asleep. Her soft face was resting on her hand and soft snores passed her lips.
Eula brushed Sophia's blonde hair from her face and bent down to press a chaste kiss to her forehead. Eula carefully crept out of bed to ensure she didn't wake Sophia up. She went to the washroom to prepare for her day. When Eula came out of the bathroom, she noticed that Sophia was awake. The blankets were pooled around her waist and her upper body clad in a silken gown was on display.
"Good morning, Soph." Eula said, taking a seat on the edge of the bed.
"Good morning, Eula." Sophia yawned and rubbed her eyes; Eula smiled at the cute sight.
She grabbed Sophia's hand. "Do you promise to stay safe today?"
Sophia frowned and glared at Eula. "Of course I do! You just worry too much."
"I will always worry about you Soph, can't help it." Eula lifted Sophia's hand up to her face and pressed a kiss to the back. "I'll see you tonight, okay?"
Sophia nodded. "Promise me you'll be safe too."
"Of course." Eula pressed a chaste kiss to Sophia's lips and walked out the bedroom. After Sophia heard the door closed, she went to get ready for her day. She quickly took a shower and put on her usual clothes consisting of a pair of grey shorts and a maroon top. She walked to her beside table and pulled out a twin set of blue and white daggers that were gifted to her by her dear Eula when she was officially accepted into the adventurers guild.
Eula had been displeased with the news but Sophia had been firm and convinced Eula that she would never abandon her dreams of being an adventurer. Eula knew she couldn't do anything to talk her girlfriend out of this decision so she took it upon herself to make sure Sophia was well equipped to stay safe.
Not only did Eula gift her a set of daggers and a sword, but she also made sure to give her fighting lessons on their day off. After going through Eula's rigorous training sessions, Sophia became strong and fit. However, this still didn't put Eula's mind at peace because she wasn't there beside Sophia's side. If anything happened to Sophia she would be devastated. It wasn't really because Sophia was weak, it was just Eula was so incredibly strong since she was the captain of the Favonius reconnaissance team, so she would always worry about Sophia's safety. Sophia thought Eula's protective nature was cute if not overbearing at times.
Sophia quickly whipped up a quick breakfast of eggs, sausages, and orange juice. After she finished eating, she made sure she had the daggers strapped to her sides and the sword strapped to her back. She locked up behind her and made her way to the city.
"Good morning Katheryne!"
"Oh, good morning Sophia. How are you?" Katheryne greeted with a smile.
"Amazing! I slept wonderfully last night so I'm feeling energized today!"
Katheryne chuckled behind her hand. "Good to hear because we have quite a number of commissions today. Are you up for that?"
Sophia nodded enthusiastically. "You bet!"
Katheryne smiled and rummaged to the documents behind her desk to produce four commissions for Sophia.
"Good luck and stay safe!" Katheryne said, waving goodbye to Sophia.
Sophia waved back and made her way to the bridge.
'Alrighty, let's see what we have today.' She looked for the documents and nodded to herself. Everything seemed pretty simple and straightforward. She was rather happy that the commissions were in Mondstadt and they were all close to each other.
