"Thank you Kaeya, I really appreciate this more than you know." Jean said to the man sitting across from her.

Kaeya waved his hands dismissively. "Don't mention it grand master." He said with a smirk.

Jean rolled her eyes. Ever since she was inaugurated as the new Grand Master, Kaeya would always tease her by calling her by her title instead of her name. She had told him a hundred times to call her by her name since they were friends but he would not listen. At this point, he was just doing it to tease her.

Jean leaned back in her chair and sighed. After that moment with Lisa in her office from a week ago, Jean had been busy preparing everything for her upcoming surprise. Unfortunately, for her to set her plan in motion, Jean became extremely busy to the point where she has probably seen Lisa for a total of 4 hours this week. She knew her witch was getting annoyed but was too kind to say anything. It broke Jean's heart but she had to do it - it would all work out in the end.

"Hey, you alright?" Jean looked up at Kaeya's sympathetic expression. She figured he knew what she was thinking since he had been working alongside her this whole week and since he was in on the surprise. "It will all work out in the end, and knowing Lisa, she will appreciate all the effort you put into this. So stop worrying so much, Grand Master."

Jean chuckled and shook her head. Leave it to Kaeya to be sweet, supportive, and annoying all at once.

"Thank you again, Kaeya. When we return, remind me to give you a week off." Jean smiled.

"You got it Grand Master." Kaeya winked. "It's getting late, is there anything else that you want/need from me?"

Jean shook her head. "No, I think everything is good to go. If all goes well, Lisa and I should be leaving the morning after tomorrow. We will spend tomorrow getting ready."

"Alright then, sounds good." Kaeya said as he stood up from his seat. "Then I wish you the best of luck and a safe trip. Have a good night." Kaeya said, walking out the door.

"Good night, Kaeya." Jean smiled. She looked out her office window to see the full moon hanging high above the clear night sky. She stood up from her chair and put her coat on. It was time to go home to share the happy news with Lisa.

Jean unlocked the door to her home. When she stepped foot in the foyer, her eyebrows drew up in confusion. It was faint but she heard it, Lisa was sobbing. Jean quickly hung up her coat and rushed to where she heard Lisa's voice.

She quietly pushed open the door to their bedroom and her heart stopped at the sight in front of her. Lisa was curled up around a pillow, crying her eyes out. Even from this distance, Jean could see Lisa's puff eyes and her tear-streaked cheeks.

"Lisa! What's wrong?" Jean asked, worriedly as she rushed to the side of the bed. She reached a hand out to Lisa but her girlfriend pulled back. Jean was very much confused to say the least.

"Lisa? What's wrong, please talk to me."

Lisa shook her head as tears continued to spill down her cheeks.

Jean clenched her jaw. She pulled Lisa into a hug despite the witch's protests. Jean held Lisa's face to her chest and ran a soothing hand up and down her back. Eventually, Lisa had relented to being held by Jean but her sobbing had only gotten louder. Jean ran her hand over Lisa's hair and whispered sweet nothings to Lisa. It had taken some time, but Lisa had calmed down and her sobs were reduced to small sniffles.

Jean pulled her head back slightly and frowned at Lisa's blotchy face. Jean wiped her thumb underneath Lisa's swollen eyes to take away the last of her tears.

"Why are you crying, Lisa?" Jean whispered.

The words that came out of Lisa's mouth shocked Jean to her core.

"Are you breaking up with me!?" Lisa blurted out. Jean watched fresh tears pool in Lisa's eyes.

"What? Absolutely not! What gave you that idea?" Jean asked.

Jean watched the new tears spill and she heard Lisa's dejected voice answer her. "I-it's just that I've barely seen you this week, Jean! A-and last week...last week you said you wouldn't ignore me anymore. D-do you still love me, Jean?" Lisa's voice broke at the end of her sentence.

Jean was pissed but she was pissed at herself. She knew her sneaking around was going to come back and bite her in the ass! She just hadn't realized it would cause Lisa so much pain.

"No, my love." Jean said. "I still love you very much and I am so sorry for not being around this week. I was actually working with Kaeya to tie up some loose ends because I had a surprise planned for you."

Lisa looked at Jean with a questioning gaze. Jean offered Lisa a small smile and wrapped Lisa in a tight, comforting hug.

"Last week, after our little talk in the office I decided that we needed a vacation. So this week I had been working with Kaeya to go over the work that needs to be overseen during my absence. He, along with Diluc, will help hold down the fort while you and I go on a 2-week vacation to Liyue. I was staying at work extra late the past week because there was a lot that needed to be organized before my departure. Today, Kaeya and I finalized everything. The plan was that tomorrow you and I would spend the day together packing for our trip and we would leave the morning after tomorrow."

Lisa gasped at Jean's confession. "S-so you're not breaking up with me? Y-you were ju-just planning a surprise?" Lisa whimpered.

Jean nodded solemnly. "Forgive me for putting you through this, Lisa. I didn't mean to hurt you like this, I just didn't want to ruin your surprise." Jean sighed. "But in hindsight maybe it would have been better if I had just told you my plan."

Lisa frantically shook her head and threw herself at Jean who had tumbled over in their bed at the momentum. Lisa peppered kisses all over Jean's face. "I love you so much, Jean. Thank you! Thank you for doing this for us!"

Jean laughed at Lisa's exuberance and the tickling sensation from Lisa's kisses. "I should be thanking you Lisa, for always being so supportive and for sacrificing so much just to help me. This is the least I could do for you."

Lisa looked down at her lover and smiled sweetly. "Oh darling, don't say that, you give me so much too. I love you."

"I love you too Lisa."
