Yanfei x Eula [Request 21] - Don't Drop The Sword

Yanfei was perusing her schedule for next week but a persistent grunting was distracting her. Yanfei looked up and sighed. She knew trying to get her work done while Eula trained was a bad idea but she just missed Eula so much she was willing to spend whatever time she could with Eula.

Their long distance relationship was not ideal but it was the best they could do. Right now Yanfei didn't have any in person meetings with any clients. Ningguang had tasked her with reviewing the policies of the nation and suggesting any updates. Liyue had so many rules and policies that it would take 3 weeks of hard work even with Yanfei's skills. That's why Yanfei had requested Ningguang allow her to do this work in Mondstadt.

Ningguang knew Yanfei wanted to see her lover and she knew that Yanfei would never jeopardize her work just to spend time with Eula, so Ningguang happily agreed to let her most trusted lawyer and advisor take a month off in Mondstadt.

It was an absolute shock to Eula when Yanfei strolled into her office like it was the most normal thing to do. Eula thought she was hallucinating but when she felt the real arms of Yanfei wrap around her, she knew it wasn't her imagination.

In all her excitement, Eula kissed Yanfei's lips until they were swollen and bruised. It wasn't normal for Eula to disregard her duties, but that day she did. She threw Yanfei over her shoulder and took her home to get reacquainted with her. It was the best day of Yanfei's long life in a while.

Yanfei's attention was drawn to Eula swinging her massive claymore. It always impressed Yanfei with how Eula handled such a large and heavy weapon with ease. Eula didn't even look like she was breaking a sweat. Yanfei was always a little jealous because she always wanted to handle a real weapon in her hands. Of course her catalyst was a real weapon that could cause real harm, but she had no need to hold it. She was able to channel the powers through her finger tips.

Yanfei stood up from her chair and walked to the edge of the training area just to ensure she didn't get sliced by Eula's swinging claymore.

"Can I try that?" Yanfei asked. Eula stopped mid swing and looked over her shoulder.

"I'm sorry?" She said, clearly she didn't think she heard right. "Did you say you want to handle my claymore?"

Yanfei smiled and nodded enthusiastically. "Yep!"

Eula blinked a few times. "I don't think that's a good idea. It's a rather heavy weapon." Eula explained, driving the point of her claymore into the ground.

Yanfei waved her off and confidently walked towards a skeptical Eula.

Yanfei stood in front of Eula with her arms crossed and a smirk on her face. "Have you forgotten I'm part adeptus? I'm stronger than you think, sweetie."

Eula raised an eyebrow, seemingly unconvinced. "I don't know babe..."

Yanfei walked up to Eula and gently pushed her girlfriend away. Eula allowed Yanfei to nudge her backwards until she was standing on the edge of the training ground. Her claymore was still firmly planted in the ground. Several inches of the blade tip dug into the solid earth.

Eula watched Yanfei walk back to her claymore with a confident smile on her face.

Can she even pull it out of the ground...Eula wondered to herself. Eula crossed her arms and watched yanfei take a few deep breaths. Yanfei wrapped her dainty hands around the handle of her claymore. It was incredibly amusing to Eula because the claymore was slightly taller than Yanfei and a good portion of it was in the earth! If Eula could hold her claymore next to Yanfei, it'd certainly be taller than the short woman. It was amusing to Eula but she knew if she pointed out the height difference to Yanfei, her feisty pyro user would get all defensive.

Eula knew Yanfei would never be able to pull the claymore out of the ground, she simply didn't have the height and leverage to do so. Yanfei tried to pull with all her might but she quickly learned what Eula already knew - she was way too short.

Yanfei turned to glare at Eula who started chuckling at her unfortunate situation. "It's not funny!" Yanfei shouted. Yanfei looked like a pissed off kitten and that made Eula burst out laughing. She walked towards Yanfei and leaned down to kiss Yanfei's forehead.

She reached around Yanfei and with ease, plucked her claymore out of the ground. Yanfei pouted up at Eula.

"I was born short, sue me."

Eula chuckled and shook her head. "Here." She lowered the claymore and allowed Yanfei to wrap her hands around the claymore. Eula took her time adjusting Yanfei's grip on the weapon. When Eula was satisfied with Yanfei's grip, she let go of the claymore and laughed when the weight of her weapon nearly pulled Yanfei to the ground.

"Having trouble there?" Eula teased. Yanfei glared up at Eula and put all her strength into her arms to lift the heavy weapon up. "N-no, no trouble at all."

Yanfei was most definitely having a lot of trouble. Her arms were quivering already and her legs were also trembling from trying to help her body hold up this weapon. Who would have thought that this weapon weighed as much as an elephant! In the hands of Eula it looked as light as a feather. It boggled Yanfei's mind when she realized just how incredibly strong Eula is.

Eula stepped back with a grin on her face. "Use your legs to help you lift it and engage your hips and arms at the same time." Yanfei relaxed her grip on the claymore to regain her strength before she tried to follow Eula's directions.

Yanfei squatted slightly and took a few deep breaths. In one quick movement she pushed her legs up and tried to use that strength to lift the claymore off the ground. Her arms moved upwards to bring the claymore with it but the claymore was so heavy her grip slipped.

Yanfei screamed when her hands slipped off the handle of the claymore and the weapon fell out of her grip. The lower end of the large blade would have fallen on her foot had Eula not rushed to her side and stopped the claymore from falling.

Eula breathed out a sigh of relief knowing she caught the claymore and it didn't accidentally cut Yanfei's foot.

"Okay, enough of that. I don't think a claymore is the weapon for you babe." Eula said gently. "How about I get you a sword?" Eula offered.

Yanfei signed dejectedly. "I don't even think I could lift a sword with these noodle arms." Yanfei said, waving her arms to emphasize her point.

Eula chuckled while she set her claymore on a weapons rack. She walked back to Yanfei and swept her off her feet.

"Who needs to learn how to handle a melee weapon when you can blow people up with your pyro magic." Eula walked to a nearby tree and sat on the ground with Yanfei in her lap.

"My powerful little half-adeptus." Eula smirked and kissed Yanfei on her soft lips. Yanfei's embarrassingly poor showing at wielding a claymore was long forgotten. Now she was just enjoying the closeness of her girlfriend who was blessing her with divine kisses.
