Keqing x Ganyu [Request 29] - Friendly Competition

"If I win, we go on that vacation you promised me a year ago. If you win, I will help you with any work you have for the next week." Said Keqing with a smirk.

Ganyu peered up at the mountainous range and turned back to Keqing with a soft smile. "Are you sure you wish to race me?"

Keqing glared at Ganyu and crossed her arms. "Yes!"

Ganyu chuckled behind her hand. A worked up Keqing is a cute Keqing. The two had gotten into a slight argument about who could climb to the peak of the mountain range the quickest. Ganyu said she could do it faster because this was the land where she was raised so she was familiar with the path and the secrets of the mountainous area. While Keqing said that didn't matter because her lightning stiletto allows her to travel faster than most.

She gave a simple nod. "I agree with those conditions then. What are the rules of this race?"

Keqing tapped her finger on her chin. "Just get to the peak of this mountain as quickly as you can. First person up there wins. The only rule is that you can not do anything to sabotage the other person. It's just a good ol' fashion speed race. Deal?"

Ganyu nodded. "Very well." Ganyu bent down and grabbed a smooth pebble from the ground.

"I shall toss this in the air. When it hits the ground, the race begins."

Keqing grinned and nodded her head excitedly; she was sure she was going to win. Ganyu smiled kindly and tossed the pebble high in the sky. The two watched the pebble go high to the pinnacle of it's ascent before slowing down and falling with great speed again.

The sound of the pebble hitting the earth resounded in their ears. With their fast reaction time, not even a second had passed before they were taking off on their respective routes. Ganyu elegantly climbed the mountains through secret pathways that led her around and within the mountain. She navigated her way upwards with the utmost confidence.

Keqing opted for a more straightforward route. Using her lightning stiletto, she went for a straight route to the top by teleporting up ledges and over obstacles. Keqing didn't even take a second to rest. She knew how familiar Ganyu was with this area so she had to really push it if she wanted to win.

A while later, Keqing's eyes gleamed when she saw the peak of the mountain. She didn't notice the presence of Ganyu during her journey up so she was convinced victory was hers. With one last push, Keqing appeared atop the mountain and did a little happy dance.

However, her victory was short-lived when she heard a voice from behind her.

"Oh, you've finally made it." The grin slipped off Keqing's face as she turned around. She looked up at Ganyu in despair. Ganyu jumped down from the tree she was perched in and landed elegantly on her feet.

"How long were you here for?" Keqing murmured sadly.

Ganyu smiled at Keqing kindly. "About 3 minutes now."

Ganyu approached Keqing and pulled her into a soft embrace. Ganyu pressed a tender kiss to Keqing's pouty lips.

"You did a lot better than I thought you would. Your technique and speed are excellent but I did warn you I am very familiar with these lands."

Keqing dropped her head against Ganyu's shoulder and groaned. Keqing loosely wrapped her arms around Ganyu's slim waist and nuzzled her face into Ganyu's neck for comfort.

"Have mercy on me and don't give me too much work to do." Begged Keqing.

Ganyu chuckled while running a comforting hand up and down Keqing's back. "Well the more work I give you the quicker you help me get my assignments done. And the quicker you help me get my assignments done, the sooner we can leave for our vacation."

Keqing pulled her head back and looked at Ganyu perplexed. "What do you mean?"

Ganyu smiled and explained. "I submitted a request to Lady Ningguang for vacation time for the both of us. She granted me permission a few days ago. I was planning on telling you later but this seems like the right time. We may leave after our current work is finished."

Keqing stared at Ganyu in shock but that shock quickly melted away into an elated smile. Keqing threw herself at Ganyu for a fierce hug.

"This better be the best vacation ever considering it's a year overdue!" Keqing joked much to the amusement of Ganyu.
