Ganyu x Fem!Reader [Request 25] - Sickness and Confessions

"I-I've admired you for some time now...nearly 7 months in fact. It's just...I really admire your dedication to your work and your incredible work ethic. I also think you're...really pretty." You shook your head. "No...not pretty, more like beautiful. I know it seems odd I'm only saying this now but I just get so nervous around you, B-but I'm tired of getting cold feet every time I try to confess. So...I was wondering...would you like to go on a date with me?" You ask shyly, fidgeting with your fingers while looking at the ground.

Your heart was beating painfully against your chest as you suffocated in the thick uncomfortable silence of the moment. You daringly looked up to take a peek of her face and gasped.

"G-Ganyu?" You noticed her pale face and heavily lidded eyes. She was swaying noticeably. Your eyes widened when you saw Ganyu pass out. Before she could hit the ground, you caught her in your arms and looked around in panic.

Unfortunately, you two were the only two around this area because you had asked Ganyu if you could speak to her privately, which didn't seem like a good idea in hindsight considering what just transpired.

Your forehead was creased with worry as you wrung the water from the cool cloth. You carefully carried the bucket of water to your living room without having water slosh over the edge.

You kneeled down beside your couch and placed the bucket beside you. You neatly folded the cloth and gently laid it on top of Ganyu's forehead.

You honestly had no idea what caused her to faint so you were doing whatever you thought was the correct way to help her. You seriously hoped there was a reason for her fainting and that it wasn't because of disgust from your confession.

You sighed dejectedly to yourself as you gently patted Ganyu's forehead with your damp cool cloth. You touched her forehead and gasped when you felt it start to burn up a little. You saw Ganyu's face pull up into a grimace. Soft pants passed her lips as a fever consumed her body. You did a quick assessment of Ganyu and made sure she was okay for the time being before you rushed out the door to Bubu pharmacy to pick up some medication and to the market to pick up ingredients to make a hearty warm soup for when she woke up.

You made it home in record time and quickly checked on Ganyu. She seemed a little more relaxed now and was cuddling into the blanket you laid on top of her before you left. You were satisfied with her current state so you went to the kitchen to unpack your purchases. You got to work immediately preparing a pot of chicken and vegetable soup.

A soft groan emanated from the living room. Ganyu let out a laboured sigh as she pressed her hand to her forehead. She was confused when her hand came in contact with a wet cloth. She slowly opened her eyes and allowed them to adjust to the bright lights in the foreign looking room. She grabbed the wet cloth and observed it for a bit before looking around the room.

The walls were a soft lavender colour and she laid on a comfy cushioned sofa. Ganyu noticed a warm quilted blanket covering her. As Ganyu adjusted to her new environment, she heard vague humming coming from a nearby room accompanied by a delicious smell of food. Her stomach growled almost painfully.

Ganyu swung her legs over the edge of the sofa, fully intending to stand up. But when she tried, she was hit by a sudden wave of dizziness and collapsed on the couch again with a groan. However, this time it was loud enough to reach your ears and you gasped. You rushed out of the kitchen to see Ganyu sitting on the couch and nursing a headache.

"You're awake." You commented. "P-please lay down, you shouldn't be trying to get up when you're feeling unwell. I made some soup and it's almost done. Please just relax a bit while I get you something to eat." Ganyu was too weak to object so she allowed you to gently push her back onto the couch until she was laying down.
