"Minho, do you want to come with us?" Felix questions, all five of us standing outside the school.

"Sorry, I have work in an hour. I'll see you guys tomorrow. And I'll text you later, babe." Minho grasps my hand, kissing me and letting it linger for a second longer than usual.

I squeeze his hand, pulling back. "Text later then. Love you."

"I love you, too. Bye guys. Have fun."

I watch as he walks away, a sickening feeling entering my stomach. Instead of focusing on it, I turn to the guys.

"Let's go," I smile, holding my breath to calm my pounding heart. What the fuck is happening?

We all walk to Changbin's car. Changbin falls behind, walking next to me.

"You okay?"

I nod, swallowing thickly. "Yeah, I'm fine."

-

"Shit, this is so good. I feel like I haven't eaten ice cream in forever," Hyunjin complains, lapping his ice cream up like a dog.

"Is it even getting inside your mouth? The table is practically covered in it," Felix shakes his head, disgusted by the other.

My phone then begins to ring, startling me. I set my cup of ice cream down, looking at the caller ID.

Dad.

"Hey, I'll be right back," I say to Changbin, sending a quick smile before getting up and heading outside of the shop.

- - - - -

"Hello?"

"When are you going to be home?"

"Uh, I don't know. Probably before five. Why?"

"Heetuk is coming over for dinner again tonight. You better not leave like that again."

Nausea bubbles in my stomach. "Okay. Is that all?"

"Yes. Be safe. Love you. Bye."

"Love you. Bye."

- - - - -

The phone call ends, leaving me dizzy and leaning on the brick building. My knees shook when I put weight on them.

Get yourself together. Do not go back in there and let them see you like this. Just breathe.

I stand there, feeling time move ever so slowly. My hands wouldn't stop shaking, but once I regained my breath, I went back in.

Changbin eyed me once I sat back down. "Everything okay?"

"Yeah," I smile, the motion heavy on my lips. "My dad just wanted to see when I'd be home."

"Okay."

Our "conversation" ended there. We both just focused on Felix and Hyunjin, slightly amused by their messy antics.

-

Changbin drops me off, Felix and Hyunjin waving from the car. "Call if you need," he whispers, nodding toward me.

I nod back, biting my tongue. Not tonight, I won't. I won't runaway. I know he said I needed time, and maybe I do, but healing has to start somewhere.

I go inside, taking off my shoes and heading upstairs to set my bag down. I go back downstairs, greeting my parents in the living room.

"What do you want for dinner?" My mom asks as if she doesn't already have something planned.

"I don't care."

"He's on his way over. Jisung, sit down," my dad directs, sitting up firmly. I do as he says, sitting far away from both of them. "You won't be going anywhere this week. Straight home. I don't care if someone comes over, but you're not going anywhere."

"I don't go anywhere anyway," I reply, shrugging a bit.

"Don't mouth me. I mean it. Heetuk will be over this week. You will not cause another argument, do you understand? He's trying to communicate with you."

I want to say something, but I'm getting choked up by my own emotions.

"You need to let him. I don't care who he's seeing, where he's living, whatever. He's apart of this family and you are brothers."

Are we?

"Okay," I confidently respond, though I was shriveling in on myself on the inside.
