Calling Sunshine ☀️💕
"What's up, angel?"
"I got a pet fish!" I giggle out, feeling like a giddy child.
"A fish? What kind?" Minho chuckles, hearing how I was excited.
"A black moor. They have huge eyes, but their vision isn't very good. He has black scales, and a few golden scales, too. His name is Moto!"
"Moto? That's adorable." I could hear Minho's smile in his voice. It made me happy.
"Right? Ahh, he's so cute. I'll send you a photo!"
"Alright angel."
"Mhm. Sorry if I caught you at a bad time or something, I was just really excited."
"No no, you're fine. I'm not doing anything anyway. It's nice hearing how excited you are; you're absolutely precious, angel."
I feel my ears growing warm, "how do you do that?"
"Do what?"
"Make me blush without even being near me."
"Hm, I guess I'm just that good," he laughs, and I laugh with him.
"You really are. I love you," I say, my heart growing warm. I hadn't been this happy about something other than Minho in such a long time. It's weird how only my boyfriend and my fish could do that.
"I love you, too."
"Okay, I have to go eat dinner. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye bye."
"Bye, baby."

I sit on my bed, staring at Moto's tank. It felt odd to say, but I didn't feel as alone anymore. I'm so used to talking to myself, but now I have him. I don't have to depend on myself as much anymore.
When I had my old fish, I'd talk to them all of the time. It sounds super weird, but if people can talk to their dogs and cats, why can't I talk to my fish?
A scenery with fish is something that calms me. So when I went on the date with Minho to the aquarium, it calmed me and freshened me up. Fish are odd creatures. People think they're simple, but they're really complicated.
Fish have bonds with their owners. Maybe not a bond like you'd have with a dog or cat, but they memorize their surroundings. They recognize their owners faces. They have feelings.
And having a living thing around makes me feel somewhat better. Especially if they can't talk. I like talking without being interrupted.
A knock on the door resonates throughout my room, pulling my attention away from my pet. I get up, opening the door to see what it was.
"Hey, you want to watch a movie with me?" My mom questions, a soft smile on her face.
"Sure," I nod, "I'll be down in a second."
She leaves my room, and I let my door stay open since I was going out anyway. I grab my blanket, knowing that I always get cold. Today felt good. A day hasn't felt like this in awhile, but I'm grateful for it.
