"Sunshine, remember when you kissed me without asking for consent?" I giggle, picking at the dirt underneath my nails.

I see his head snap up from his phone, his eyes widening. "What? I did that?"

"Mhm. The first time you came over. I was upset with my parents and you were trying to make me feel better," I tilt my head, looking at him with expectant eyes.

"Oh, man. I forgot about that. I'm sorry. I never really thought about it then."

I just smile, kissing his lips out of nowhere. His bed creaks underneath me. "It's okay. It was pretty dumb, but at that time, I didn't notice it either. It was an in the moment thing."

"Let's make a fort."

I laugh. He doesn't. He just smiles.

"Seriously?"

"Why not?"

"Fuck it."

"Sweet. Grab the blankets off of my bed. I'll get something for it to hang onto. We could probably put one corner between my closet door."

"Y'know, I haven't made a fort since I was a kid," I laugh, tucking a corner of the blanket in between his closet door and the wall. It should hold. Hopefully.

"We'll, it's not exactly something you do when you're a teen. I don't care though. It's gonna be fun. I can get my laptop and we can watch movies. It'll be so cute."

He puffs out his cheeks, smiling to himself. I giggle, watching the fort come together. In all honestly, it looked horrible, but I'd do anything to keep him happy. Even if it meant squeezing under a blanket that looked ready to fall any second.

He glances down, hands on his hips. "I mean, if we fit, we sit. It's not that bad. Go ahead, get under."

I giggle, crouching down. "You're sending me to my death." As I wiggle underneath, my bones dig into the hard floor beneath me. "Hand me the other blanket."

I lay out two blankets: one for sitting on and one for covering up with. It wasn't the most comfortable thing, but if I had to, I'd just lay on top of him.

"Come on, get your ass down here. Careful, the pillows are on the blanket, so they keep sliding."

"Wait, wait! I have some fairy lights. I want to make this as aesthetic as I can."

I can see his feet jump a little out of excitement. How could one be so adorable? I listen to him shuffle around until dim, warm lights are surrounding me. It was pretty, but I was still waiting for the fort to collapse.

"Okay, I'm coming down," he grins, plopping to his knees. He hands me his laptop first and then crawls over. "Let's get this show on the road!"
