"Your kisses feel ice cold, like your body," Frank told me. He sounded worried.

But that explains why they sting.

They're too warm for me.

"Your kisses feel so warm, they burn. But only sometimes."

"What do you mean sometimes?"

"Only when I'm warm back. Last night, for example, your kisses didn't sting me because I was warm."

He gave me a blanket that was on another couch.
Wrapped it around me.

"Warm up then, Gerard."

I huddled the sheet close to my heart.

And I nudged into My Frank's shoulder.

He brought his head to mine,

Kissed me.

"Better?"

"Better."
