The alcohol started to kick in
And that was when
Bert and I could have fun.
That's when the people ceased
To overwhelm me.
It just didn't seem to matter anymore.
Bert took my hand,
And we danced.
We probably looked like idiots,
But that was okay.
We were lost in the amusement.
The flashing lights,
And the catchy music
Was just so wonderful.
It was bursting around me
As we spun around.
I didn't even care if he got close to me,
Because everything felt connected.
Like it should be.
It was aamazing
And it seemed to go on and on and on and on and on
Spinning
On and on and
Laughing on and on
This felt like
Forever.
