Silky Hair

When evening fell,

I craved the need for

Socialization.

So going to the bar can't be

A bad thing

Right?

It was nice to drink

A couple beers

And get high.

I had two friends, too.

Pete and Patrick.

But one that really caught my eye

Was a guy that bought me an extra beer,

Despite the fact that I was on the verge of being

Completely wasted.

I swiveled in my chair

As he ordered for me.

He put an arm around me to

Prop me up.

He had long black hair.

His name was Bert McCracken.

"Just for you," he says, and sits back.

"Thanks."

He stared at me as a chugged the mug down.

"What's your name?" he questioned.

"Gerard Way."
I answer.

He slowly brought his rough hands to my face.

He treated me like an animal.

Or maybe that's just how I felt like.

I was conscious about me looking at him with a certain glint in my eye.

I didn't know what the feelings represented, however.

Fear?
Anticipation?
Bewilderment?

He caressed my hair,

Letting strands glide between his fingers,

"You have very pretty hair, Gerard."

Still looking at him,

I mutter a "Thank you."

"Seriously," he tells me, "your hair is so dark, and so silky."

He purs in my ear, "It's like a deep, deep, charcoal. You make my little cold heart warm up."

I scooted away from him,
"T-Thank you-"

And my body jolted from a raspy belch.

I covered my mouth and burst outside,

Throwing up

My guts

Violently

On the cement.

Bert kept strands of hair from my face,
"I don't want your beautiful hair to get tainted, Gerard."
