"Does it hurt?"
"Huh?"
The reaper pointed to Jisung's bandaged wrists. Chan came to give Jisung his brunch which consisted of a grilled egg sandwich and a poorly frosted cinnamon roll on the side. Weird combo, but food was food.
Jisung was sitting on the edge of the bed as he ate the cinnamon roll above the plate that he had on his lap so he didn't leave any crumbs on the mattress. Chan was standing a good distance away from him, refusing to sit down. He was still wearing the giant ripped robe and the giant hood that covered his face. His remained covered and mysterious.
"Oh, they do, but they feel better because the wires are no longer digger into them. It was complete torture," Jisung accidently pouted, not sure why he felt more comfortable with Chan than the other two.
"You're lucky you aren't a hero or a real threat. Hyunjin would have definitely tortured you till the brink of death. I am still wondering why he freed you earlier than he planned. Do you know why?" The reaper asked in his signature, lifeless voice as Jisung took another bite of his delicious cinnamon roll.
"I don't know... but when he took me into this room, he started asking all these weird questions like 'do you hate me?' Or 'do you wish to harm me now?'. It was pretty weird," Jisung murmured with his stuffed mouth and sparkly eyes that lit up when his tongue tasted the delicious, sugary, sweet frosting. It was a pretty good cinnamon roll.
"I see..." Chan muttered, watching Jisung pout when he realized his cinnamon roll was all gone. "You seem more comfortable than before."
"Well, I have my own bed and I am no longer chained up to a bed or a wall no more. I am definitely more comfortable than all the other times, but that doesn't mean I am more comfortable around you guys," Jisung stated, placing the empty plate on the nightstand.
"You might as well get comfortable around us... which seems to already be happening," the reaper said, making Jisung pause for a second.
"I... guess," Jisung went along. He wished that he didn't have to get along with them, but if he wanted to stay alive and keep himself out of harm's way, then it was probably best to try to get along with his captors and not cause trouble.
"Are you thinking about escaping again?" Chan questioned with suspicion, making Jisung sigh.
"No... there is no point in trying anyway. I see that now. If I would have known we were underwater, then I wouldn't have even tried. Especially when there seems to be an army of robots guarding the place. I also don't want to hurt again. I can't take pain as well as others," Jisung replied, making Chan hum in response which he seems to do a lot.
"I see," was all he said, making Jisung huff.
"How can you see with that giant hood over your head? I know that you are supposed to represent a reaper, but do you always have to wear that?" Jisung pointed to the giant pointed hood over the reaper's head.
"It is my costume I guess you could say," Chan answered.
"For Halloween?" Jisung joked and he couldn't help but bust out laughing at his own joke while Chan just stood there silently and unamused.
The villain sighed under the hood. "Heroes have costumes that represent them or make their abilities work to the fullest. Villains have their own costumes that represent them and enhance their abilities. Get it now? Minho wears a white, stretchy suit which makes it comfortable for him to use his flexibility and super strength," Chan explained, making Jisung gasp in realization.
"Oooh! That makes sense, I guess. So... this would be your costume? How does it help you though?" Jisung asked with confusion, not understanding.
"This rope and the hood makes me look like a reaper. It is also very loose and allows me to move comfortably. It also allows me to hide my identity and camouflage into the shadows. Having a costume or an outfit that represents your abilities could enhance it. Surely you knew this since Minho is your boyfriend?" Chan asked almost as if he was surprised Jisung was clueless about it.
