The villain hissed under his breath at the uncomfortable phantom pain lingering in his chest. The bullet had ripped through his skin and punctured his right lung not even ten minutes ago. Despite the wound healing in milliseconds due to his rough training, Jisung couldn't help but grasp his chest and wheeze slightly.
A hand on his shoulder snapped him out of his senses and he automatically turned around to point his bloodied dagger at the owner. The hand immediately let go as the blonde haired pirate took a step back in caution. Blood stained both of their clothes now due to their recent injuries, so Yeosang's receptionist disguise was out the window for the remaining of the mission.
"Dude, you're obviously not okay. If you pass out on me I'm leaving you here. There's no way I'm going behind bars because of you trying to act tough," the pirate fussed at him, making Jisung's eyes narrow.
"I'm fine... just... it's not every day that you get shot at, ya know?" He reasoned.
"Jisung, you healed my wound and I'm completely fine but you-"
"You were shot in the shoulder. Not the chest," he spat, beginning to walk away from him. "Come on, we don't have much time."
The two men had made their way down to the lower floors. Suspiciously, there wasn't no one else there guarding the elevators or the staircases. The two of them saw the cameras but they had confidence that Itzy disabled them. If they didn't, then it was bad luck for them. Yeosang and Jisung didn't have any communication with the other Ateez and Itzy members considering that the hurricane raging outside was cutting off service. Even if the hurricane wasn't there, Yeosang wouldn't have like the idea of devices. Ateez were pirates: ocean or sea villains. They didn't rely on technology a lot or at least most of them didn't.
Killing others was much easier than working an iPhone for most of them which Jisung found slightly comical. It made him wonder if they grew up on the isolated islands or cities underneath the sea, but he wasn't willing to become friends with Ateez. They were only allies... not friends.
Yeosang and Jisung descended down the stairs. Their footsteps echoed all the way to the top and the temperature seemed to drop significantly. Blood that hadn't dried on their shoes left a small blood trail behind. They didn't know if the woman back on the other floor was dead or not but as long as she was out of commission, they were fine. Jisung had gotten his foot shattered by the brutal strength of her leg and heel. If he didn't have super regeneration, he probably would've had to amputate it because of how damaged it was. It wouldn't have healed correctly at all.
Jisung had put his boots back on after the attack since he no longer needed to be silent. Even if he didn't have his boots on, they were still making noise. Especially Jisung who was coughing and constantly gripping his chest in pain. Not only that, but he could feel his energy slowly deteriorate which was concerning. It was as if he was constantly healing which was taking up his energy. If he ran out, he could die from wounds and won't be able to heal. Now, if he was extremely unlucky, he would have one of his common seizures from the SHDML. Fortunately, he hasn't had one in a month so far.
"Fuck, Jisung. Do I need to summon Hwa to get Yunho for you?" Yeosang's accent made his words seem harsher than they were. It seemed like everyone was talking aggressively towards him besides Hongjoong and Wooyoung. Wooyoung being an exception only because he was from another island or continent from the rest of Ateez. He had a completely different accent.
"I'm fine," Jisung stated matter-of-factly as he removed his hand from his chest to appear more collected. Their voices echoed sharply around them as they spoke.
"The moment you start coughing blood, I'm summoning Hwa, got it?" The blonde warned.
All Jisung did was huff in spite. The villain did not like the pirate that called himself 'the executioner'. Hwa was usually the one to help him train but the training was nothing but agonizing and just awful. Once Jisung gets an injury and he bleeds, it's over. The pain was driving him insane and Hwa didn't seem to care whatsoever. He swore that that man was only born to bring physical agony to others. No matter how much Jisung tried to heal all of his wounds, Hwa would just inflict another one with Jisung's own blood from his previous ones. It made him stronger, yes, but mentally? No.
