Despite having so many chemicals running through his body, rotting him from the inside slowly and painfully, Jeongin looked peaceful resting on the hospital bed. The only reason why he probably looked so peaceful was that he was in a coma that a normal human probably wouldn't survive due to the causes of his condition.
Jeongin had a white bandage wrapped around his head and over his eye now empty eye socket. His once dirty hair which was red and black at one point was now fluffy and pure white thanks to the nurses washing it. Unlike before, Jeongin no longer had any dark bruises, open gashes, leaking blood, exposed internal flesh, and black eyes. His skin was almost perfectly healthy except for the nasty scars he received. From what doctors have told Felix, the young hero was tortured by an object called a superweapon which allowed anyone to harm and kill superhumans more easily. Recovering from injuries was hard enough unless you had super powerful regeneration or some type of reversal ability.
Felix was sitting on the white couch of the small hospital room Jeongin was in. He had a grey sweater, white pants, and a cozy blue blanket the doctors gave him. He had gotten special permission to stay in Jeongin's room overnight because he was desperate to see for himself if he was okay. His physical state looked so much better and it almost relieved Felix until he realized that Jeongin was still fighting for his life. He watched a nurse put her hands on his body before he saw internal flesh, bones, and nerves glow yellow as if purifying it. The nurse would return every few hours to ensure he was okay and make sure he wasn't losing his battle.
Jeongin was on some sort of breathing machine and also had a PEG tube. He could hear the steady beep that followed Jeongin's heartbeat on the monitor and it did help Felix feel a little better actually seeing Jeongin. At first, he had a flashback of the young hero inside the torture room and he nearly panicked, but he managed to take deep breaths and get through it. Seeing Jeongin in better condition physically was better even though he was dying was much better than seeing him covered in stitches and bandages.
Felix hated to say that he was okay seeing Jeongin like this instead. He was alive and was no longer suffering any external injuries, but also not awake. He was scared to confront Jeongin if he were to ever get better. What would he say? Would Jeongin hate him? Why did Jeongin even suffer so much? Why was Felix only locked up in a room and starved? Why did he even drag Jeongin along?
These questions always made Felix cry in the end. He felt so guilty for everything and Soobin thought it wasn't a good idea for the freckled male to visit Jeongin because of that fact. Even if Jeongin were to be completely healed, Felix knew that he would have to suffer the terrible memory for the rest of his life. They were in the same boat when it came to that, but Felix believed that Jeongin suffered way more than him. He felt so bad knowing that Jeongin had suffered way more than him and that Felix was acting as though it was him that was physically tortured for months straight.
Felix adjusted his position on the couch and pulled the blanket up against his chest. He layed his head against the pillow and started to scroll through some of the messages his parents and siblings sent him. He was constantly texting and calling his (adoptive) family due to how much time he was away. Unfortunately, his family was unable to visit him due to him staying at the Headquarters of the Hero's Organization. Felix didn't know how long it would take for them to let him go, but he was okay with staying away for a bit longer. He figured he could work on his PTSD before seeing them so they wouldn't have to deal with him struggling.

Is everyone treating you nicely? You never know what news or rumors to trust on the media these days about the heroes.Felix
Everyone I know so far has been nice, but I think that's because they are all nurses and doctors that know about my PTSD and my story. They make sure I'm healthy and everything. Soobin has been especially nice to me who has been my therapist lately.
