"What is this? I've never seen food like this before," Jisung observed the bowl on front of him to see rice topped with shrimp, green onions, sausage, chicken, and a lot of other things. It looked like some foreign dish.
"It's called jambalaya. It's a foreign dish and it's my first time making it, so... I hope it turns out great. It was supposed to have spicy seasoning, but I don't like spicy food, so I changed up the seasoning a bit," Chan nervously chuckled as he took a seat at the dining table across from Jisung.
"It looks great, Chan. Thanks for making it," Changbin thanked as he took a seat beside Chan.
"Thank you!" Jisung beamed as he took the first bite of his meal, making Changbin grimace at his unnecessarily loud volume. The meal was really good since it was well seasoned and had an extraordinary taste with all the foods making a great combo of flavors.
The trio ate their dinner together for the first time. Jisung felt like he wasn't even a hostage at this point, but instead of a hostage, he felt more of a third wheel the longer he stayed in the dining room. It was quite awkward to just be sitting there with the two villains talking.
Changbin was constantly whispering to Chan with a frown on his face until he eventually smiled. Chan seemed to reply with short answers and dismiss whatever Changbin would tell him. Jisung didn't know if he should say something or just leave and allow the two to continue whispering to each other or not.
Jisung was shocked when Changbin grabbed the edge of the hood before pulling it back softly to reveal Chan. Jisung smiled softly when Chan seemed to become a bit shy and looked down to eat. Changbin ruffled Chan's blonde hair before Chan wacked it away. Jisung could see that these two were very comfortable around each other and it was very heart-warming, but he couldn't help but feel like he was watching something that he wasn't meant to see.
Jisung ate his food in silence. It felt extremely awkward, but Jisung just ate his food and avoided making any eye contact with the two villains sitting across from him. However, he saw something from the corner of his eye and he turned to look into the kitchen, but the movement he was disappeared.
"So, Jisung, I am assuming you liked the jambalaya?" Chan asked, making Jisung look at him.
"Oh, yes, I did," Jisung giggled when he saw that his bowl was empty. "Thank you for the food Chan. It was really good."
"Thank you, Jisung."
"I guess I should go put this up then," Jisung said as he stood up from the chair and picked up his bowl to head back into the kitchen. He wanted to know what he saw.
"Just wash out the bowl and put it in the dish washer-" Changbin started before he was cut off.
"No, it's okay. I will do the dishes when we are all done," Chan quickly intervened, but now it was Jisung's turn.
"It's okay, Chan. I will do my own," Jisung assured as he made his way back into the kitchen, leaving behind the reaper and silver-haired male behind.
Jisung walked over to the sink as he looked around, finding nothing unusual. That was until he went towards the sink and saw a blood drop right next to the napkins. The blood wasn't dried, meaning that it hasn't been there for a long time. Being the curious person he was, he wanted to find out where it came from.
Jisung quickly washed out his bowl and placed it into the dish washer to leave the kitchen to investigate since he was a very curious person. He was surprised to see another blood drop by the arch that separated the kitchen and the living room. Jisung saw another movement and he snapped his head to see something move out of sight on the second floor.
