A delighted hum escaped the puppeteer as his playful, monarch-orange eyes watched the lifeless body of a random officer dance in front of him. His limbs moved as if they were tied to invisable strings from above which was close to the actual case. With the ability to control movements depending on the distance, Wooyoung has taken a liking to using it only to keep himself occupied while his parter continued to squeeze his gloved hand around the hero's neck.
The puppeteer had slumped himself up against a cold, concrete wall as he watched his ability move the lifeless body to his liking. He didn't necessarily have to use his fingers to actually control his dolls - not anymore at least. The invisible strings connected to the dead police officer were controlled by Wooyoung's mind. If he needed to control the "doll" at a greater distance or if he needed his movements to be faster, he could simply lift his hands and control it from there. Using his fingers and hands provided much more power, strength, and speed.
Other than the dead officer and himself, his parter for this particular mission was none other than Hwa who was currently choking a poor hero to death. She was a pretty woman who looked even more beautiful now that her cheeks were decorated in her tears. The way she hopelessly struggled in Hwa's grasp and tried to touch the floor with her feet made his eyes dilate in fascination. The human emotion of fear was always one of his favorites, but there was something about the fear the humans felt right before they die that just made him love the mortals so much. Their reactions were priceless.
The fake smile plastered on his face didn't falter nor widen when he heard the fatal snap. He knew that the poor woman was doomed the moment she was grabbed. Her struggling body went limp immediately. Her hands that were once tightly wrapped around the villain's wrist fell to her sides as her kicking legs dangled motionlessly. She was no longer alive. She was dead. It was a shame really since Wooyoung loved to keep his female hero dolls alive in order to use them against other heroes. It was truly amusing to him to see heroes struggle to protect someone once one of then has been caught.
Unlike Wooyoung, Hwa always has had no intention of keeping heroes alive. Back at their homeland, he was known as the Executioner. Nobody knows his real name except the Captain who didn't try to hide his real name. Kim Hongjoong was known as the "Captain" of Ateez and "Pirate King" to their homeland. Hongjoong was the one who gave Wooyoung an actual name: Jung Wooyoung. All his life, he was called "Lord Puppeteer." He felt more human when he was called by Wooyoung, so that was what he went by. He was internally happy to have an actual name.
"So heartless, Hwa~" Wooyoung commented in a foreign language as he watched the blonde male throw the hero's body to the side with a blank expression. "That woman sacrificed herself so that squad of police officers could make a run for it and escape. A brave one she is. Should we go after the rest?"
"Leave them. If they had another hero with them than we would've, but she was the only one. We killed the main threat. There is no need to kill officers that could be replaced just as fast as their deaths," Hwa replied before turning around to actually look at Wooyoung's relaxed figure.
Wooyoung's outfit was the complete opposite of Hwa's which was bright and colorful whereas Hwa wore just black. Wooyoung was wearing a white aloha shirt with pineapples decorating all over with the first two buttons of his shirt undone which exposed the necklace he wore. It was a tiny black rope with a shark tooth connected to it that settled on his sternum. Bright neon yellow shorts were worn to match the bright color of the pineapples of his shirt. He wore a pair of brown sandals that definitely needed to be cleaned since he had walked in blood puddles. His feet were soaked in it but the younger male didn't look fazed at all by it.
