Felix didn't know if it was normal for him to feel calm in a situation like this. Perhaps it was something his brain automatically did in order to prevent further harm to his body and mind. He was in pain and despite him being a few feet away from a wanted villain, he couldn't seem to care about his presence more than he should. Maybe death was the best option for him as it would've given him a state of tranquility.
His head hurt. He most likely had internal bleeding but he wasn't sure. He wasn't the doctor and in all honesty he was pretty glad that he wasn't. Being an individual with the knowledge and education of human anatomy and wounds probably would've freaked him out if he knew all the symptoms of possible injuries. He was glad that his headache was putting him in a vulnerable state of confusion and unawareness. It made the scary situation occurring around him feel more peaceful as his agony sedated him.
Alarms blared around him and red flashes of bright light went off in unison with it. His wet clothes stuck to his skin and it usually would bother him to a certain extent but Felix honestly wasn't thinking about his appearance at all. His darkening vision got worse as time went on as he attempted to guide Changbin through the building. However, there was no way he was going to make it. It was too far and his will to live began to deteriorate as the seconds passed. He was so sick of this pain and mental exhaustion, but the human instincts of survival always kept him going.
A few seconds later, Felix found himself stumbling through the hallway, unaware of Changbin's piercing and impatient glare. Unaware of his threatening words that failed to reach his ears as the alarms' volume overpowered his. Unaware that he didn't have just a headache but a fractured skull. It wasn't long before Felix's body failed him and gave out. His nose was bleeding but the dark droplets never reached his eyes. His mind failed to register everything that was happening. He stumbled and that was all it took for him to hit the wall of the corridor before slumping down against it. He tried to stay sitting up against it but the wall connecting to the injury on the back of his skull had him whimpering in pain. Without really thinking about it, he brought his shakey hand to touch it but it only caused more pain.
"I didn't say your job was over. Get up," the villain's voice demanded as he marched in front of Felix. He leaned down and grabbed the collar of his shirt, easily picking up the weight of his upper body to force eye contact. "I don't have all day. I'm on a timer here and you're going to waste it then I might as well just kill you."
"Just... go upstairs. Please trust me.." Felix wheezed as his weak hands gripped Changbin's wrist. "My head hurts... just go..." he whispered, feeling like he was about to lose consciousness any second.
Changbin's eyes narrowed a bit more at his pleads, but he could tell that Felix was in no condition to continue. "If I go on ahead and I can't find him, I'm coming back for you and finishing you off, ya hear me?"
Felix didn't get the chance to answer as Changbin pushed him back towards the wall, which created another agonizing yelp. He didn't really expect for the villain to just leave him there, but he wasn't complaining. Changbin was running out of time quickly as police started running through the entrances to the building after security cameras picked them up. Felix at this point was dead weight for him and he wasn't about to drag him through the hallways to give him accurate directions. He would just need to use his abilities now that he knew or atleast was told that he was in the right building.
Leaving Felix slumped against the hallway, Changbin began to liquify himself as his flesh and clothes turned to water. The rain from the passing hurricane was seeping through the vents and underneath the doors were attracted by his ability, allowing him to gather even more water to flood the hallways and rooms. Once he was completely liquefied, his consciousness connected to the entire body of water that flooded all of the buildings he was in. From the hospital to whatever this building was, Changbin could sense heavy footsteps splashing all over the place, giving away their locations. He could sense Felix's body, the police running through the hallways just two stories down, and he could faintly sense the heroes running through the rain outside.
