You know about those mornings where you wake up and immediately decide to ignore everyone because of the terrible mood you wake up with out of nowhere? Yeah, that was Jisung when he woke up the next morning.
He woke up not feeling like his usual self. He was surprised he wasn't as happy when he found his boyfriend sleeping by his side. Since Hyunjin came back late at night and left early in the morning to immediately start his day without Jisung, he thought he would be extremely thankful and cherish the moment, but he didn't. Again, he wasn't feeling like his normal self.
After brushing his teeth and combing his hair with his fingers, his hands settled on the edge of the countertop as he looked at himself in the large mirror. He was finally able to see for himself his blank expression and the noticeable changes to his features. The first thing that caught his attention was his hair. Unlike before when he had an even proportion of brown and blue, it seemed as though his hair now was blue with brown highlights.
The other thing he noticed were his eyes. His once beautiful, brown eyes that used to reflect so much light were now darker and dull. His dark brown hue could definitely be mistaken as black because of how dark they became, especially when his hair would cover them and block out any light.
Jisung wondered why his hair and eyes became like that, but he didn't care that much. Perhaps it was because he woke up with such a terrible mood that he just didn't care or worried about it. As long as it wasn't hurting him, he didn't care.
"Jisung?" Hyunjin yawned as he stepped into the bathroom. "What are you doing up at six?"
Is it really six in the morning? That's pretty early for me.
"I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. I decided to just get up and start my day. Sorry if I woke you up," he apologized.
Turning around to look at him in person instead of through a mirror, he could see his boyfriend with squinting eyes trying to adjust to the bathroom lights. Even though it was dim and low, Hyunjin's eyes have proven to be very, very sensitive when it comes to lights. His eyes adjust to lighting slower after being in complete darkness for a long time. Jisung was sure that if he had the bathroom lights up all the way when Hyunjin walked in, the taller would've been blinded for a long time and encounter some form of agony.
There was this one story that Hyunjin shared that Jisung remembered. He remembered his boyfriend saying how he once got soap in one of his eyes back when he was at the Hero's Organization. He was taking a shower and some of the soap from his shampoo ran down his forehead and seeped into one of his eyes. For a normal human, it would be a very annoying, and somewhat painful sting depending on how much made contact, but Hyunjin experienced pure agony. His eye was red for almost a week, but the heroes helped him by giving a special kind of eye drops; the ones he continues to use till this day.
Jisung has only seen Hyunjin take the special eye drops last night, but according to the villain, he has been taking them every week to keep his eyes moisturized and as healthy as possible. He needs to them in good condition in order to use his gravitational abilities.
"No no, you didn't wake me up. I get up around this time now, but I wasn't expecting you to be up before me," Hyunjin replied, making his way towards Jisung's side so he could start brushing his teeth.
Jisung scooted over a bit, allowing the villain to have more room. As he began brushing his teeth, Jisung started to zone out, thinking about what could be bothering him. He was obviously not having a good morning due to the fact that he woke up somewhat aggravated and different. Could it have something to do with last night? His fight with Changbin? The words he spoken?
