Chan had his giant cloak on while he sat on the giant rock near the bank of the river, trying to clear his mind. Spring was here and the forest that was once covered in thick layers of snow was now covered in bright green grass and multi-colored flowers. The sunshine warmed the air and signaled to the animals that winter was over. Bees and hummingbirds flew around, collecting nectar, while the deers and other land animals ran through the forest, free.

In the midst of the growing vegetation and the growing forest, the cursed human stood out with his black, ripped robe. The one Changbin returned to him from Felix because he was told the freckled boy didn't want anything from him. The pointed hood of his robe was over his head, blocking the sunlight and hiding his face in the casted shadow. The sound of the crashing water from the waterfall canceled out the chirping birds flying above, but nothing was about to cancel out the sound of his own thoughts.

The reaper sat on his rock, trying to gather his feelings and emotions about the current situation. His ex-lover was being held hostage, which was completely different from the time they kidnapped Jisung. Yet, Felix hated him. That was just a fact, and Chan had no reason to argue with him. He deserved to be hated by him. His parents killed Felix's parents which caused Felix to live a dreadful life as a child. He also traumatized Felix by the horrible murder he committed. Not only that, but he kidnapped his best friend. Chan deserved to be hated by him, and he accepted it.

Yet, he still loved him. Even after accepting the fact that Felix had all right to hate him, he still loved him just as much as he did back then.

Chan felt a presence suddenly emerge, but he stayed still. The presence and the aura was familiar, but what he didn't expect was the water from the bank to rise and swirl around in midair. His dark, lifeless eyes watched under his hood as the water swirled around faster and faster, creating a human figure out of water, before suddenly exploding... revealing Changbin with now soaked clothes and hair. His shoes were submerged under the shallow water of the river, but it didn't take long for him to hop out of the water and sit beside the quiet reaper after climbing onto the giant rock.

"New ability, I see," his lifeless voice reawaken, making Changbin frown at the lack of positive emotions in the male's voice, but Changbin didn't mention it.

"I've been practicing," Changbin answered softly, leaving the two males in an awkward silence, at least to Changbin. Chan's attention was taken away by his own thoughts, but Changbin was hesitant to continue talking.

"Why are you here?" Changbin flinched, feeling as though he was unwanted by the person he loved. It hurt.

"I... was checking up on you. You have been ignoring everyone... especially me," the silver-haired male whispered, making Chan hum in response which almost brought Changbin to tears. It pained him so much to hear and feel Chan's lack of happiness when he was around the older now.

"C-Chan," Changbin cursed his voice when it cracked and sounded like he was about to cry. "I... am sorry for what I did to Felix. I really am. I knew that he was your ex-lover, but I-I did that to him anyway. I am sorry."

Chan's vision went red for a second.

"You already apologized for that," Chan reminded, not looking at the shorter beside him. "You are here to say something else... right?"

Changbin felt his body freeze when Chan was able to figure that out, but he relaxed again. There was no point in hiding it now, but Chan already knew. They had an argument about it, but Changbin was desperate to change Chan's feelings. Neither males looked at each other while they talked. The shorter was scared to make eye-contact and see Chan's blank face while Chan had no intention of showing his face.
