"So... what did Felix actually say to Chan that... caused all this?"

"I am not sure what he said. Chan never speaks of it. Never. Whatever he said did serious damage for him though. Changbin told me about you being friends with Felix, but it seems as though you know nothing about his relationship with Chan for some reason," Hyunjin replied with an arm around his eyes with his back on the mattress.

"So... you never killed anybody? The Heaven's Tower incident was Chan's doing?" Jisung asked as he turned around to sit crisscross on the mattress beside the ravenette.

"I have killed people. Just not thousands. I would say around twenty in my entire life, but the people I killed was for me and my friends to survive. When we were younger-" Hyunjin stopped, probably realizing that he was about to speak about his life to somebody he hasn't even known for two months now. To be specific, a hostage.

Jisung heard Hyunjin pause and he probably knew what he was thinking. Jisung didn't have Hyunjin's trust, but for some reason, after the truth had been spilled about the Heaven's Tower incident, Jisung was very curious about Hyunjin's background information such as his childhood life. He wondered how he grew up and what he went through.

The boy found his hatred towards the villain lessening by the minute. Hyunjin and his friends definitely went through some things that Jisung never experienced. Jisung will probably never understand them since he has lived a completely normal life until he dated Minho. For some reason, Jisung's interests about Hyunjin sparked. He wanted to get to know him which was weird since he was still technically a hostage.

"You don't have to talk about it. I actually never expected you to even share that much to me," Jisung reassured, now wanting to give Hyunjin and Chan a big hug, but that would be weird. Hugs always made him feel better, but for serial killers, it probably wouldn't.

"It just pisses me off that you seem to have a good relationship with bad people. I can't help but want to break off your connections with them," Hyunjin chuckled.

Jisung frowned, but if Hyunjin said was true, then he couldn't disagree. Jisung was still hesitant to believe that Felix was a bad person after all the years spent together. Felix was known as the cute, freckled sunshine. He screamed innocence. Felix was the complete opposite of evil. Or at least that was what Jisung thought. He still continued to believe it though.

A particular thought struck him hard to the point that Jisung had to ask.

"Hyunjin... if the heroes were the ones treating you horribly during your time in custody... was Minho a part of that?" Jisung couldn't help but ask, but he hoped that it wasn't the case.

"Minho was the worst one. Yes... he was apart of my mistreatment," Hyunjin muttered with a tired voice.

Jisung felt a sudden anger wash over him. Was Jisung really dating someone who would mistreat a villain? Wait... villains deserve to be mistreated, right? They did horrible things, but they had good reasons to. Hyunjin was not evil. Hyunjin was just protecting and caring for his friends, even if that meant making a bad choice. He placed his loved ones before him... right? Hyunjin wasn't like the myths and rumors of rumors, right?

"Why are you crying, darling?"

Jisung flinched when Hyunjin suddenly sat up slowly, snapping him out of his thoughts. He didn't realize a silent tear slipping down his cheek until Hyunjin mentioned it. He wasn't balling his eyes out or anything like that, but it was probably because the sudden truth hit him hard.

Jisung couldn't tell if Hyunjin was making this up or not, but he hated how real it sounded. Even someone like him could tell he wasn't lying, which meant that the city has been lied to about heroes all along. They don't treat villains like normal prisoners at all and they surely don't take care of them. They mistreat them to the point of death.
