Jisung didn't know how to function for the first few moments when he woke up. It was like his body betrayed him and decided to not do anything he wanted it to do such as open his eyes or bring his hand up to his forehead where something rough and cold stuck to it. His body was in so much pain and it felt unbelievably heavy. He felt as if he died and was resurrected after so many years.

The side of his neck, the inside of his elbows, head, heart, chest, and muscles all felt extremely terrible. Some areas were tingling and numb while others were just aching. His stomach was hurting due to the lack of nutrition and his throat was as dry as can be, but despite feeling hungry and thirsty, his mind couldn't find a reason to actually eat or drink cause he just felt that bad. It was like he was sick and his mind knew that if he ate something, he would just throw it all up.

The right side of his body was pressed into a soft cusion which didn't feel like the soft mattress he would usually sleep in every night. The cushion was warm underneath and so was the thick, memory foam pillow his head was comfortably laid on. However, it didn't take him long to process that the pillow was wet from sweat and water that came from the wet rag that stuck to his forehead. Other than feeling absolutely horrible from all the pain, he felt extremely cold even though he was sweating. He had mixed feelings when he realized that a thick blanket was covering his shivering, sweating body. He didn't need to open his eyes to know what he was feeling.

Jisung closed his parted lips to moisturize his dried tongue. He had been breathing in through his mouth while he slept, but he didn't know how long. His entire mouth, throat, and lips were dried out and swallowing caused a surge of pain to run down his esophagus. He had to force himself to swallow a couple of more times to moisturize his mouth before he licked over his dried lips. After he was done with that, he began to open up his eyes, or atleast tried to.

His eyelids felt heavy and glued shut. He could feel the uncomfortable sleep crust that had formed in the corners of his eyes. Opening his eyes, he was able to see a huge orange and yellow glow coming from the left, but he was unable to move his head to see what it was. All he could see was the warm glow of color while a blurry, white furniture sat in front of him a few feet away with another blurred out object in front of it. He wasn't in his room, but in the living room. It took him a few moments to process that... more than it should've.

He felt numb. He stared at the blurry white blob that was the sofa on the opposite side of the coffee table with no thoughts running in his mind for once. He didn't know if it was because of the pain or the amount of time he had slept, but he didn't care. He just felt numb and confused.

His fingers twitched every so often and it didn't take long for the discomfort to settle in because of his position. He didn't know how long he has been lying here in this position, but he did know that it was long enough. With a new goal to achieve in his empty head, he forced himself to roll over or sit up. He didn't know exactly what he was trying to do, but all he knew was that he was uncomfortable and wanted to move. However, when he tried to do that, pain coursed through his body and he let out a pained sound... or at least he though he did.

Whatever sound he made came out muffled to him. It was as if his ears were clogged and he couldn't hear properly. Because of that, he couldn't hear how loud he shrieked or cried. Pain swelled inside him as he tried to move and he suddenly felt as though he was spinning when he managed to twist his head to look up at the ceiling. Tiny black spots appeared and faded every so often in random areas of his fault of vision and his throat stung ever time he released a noise he was unaware of.
