"Chan!"
The said curse turned his head to look behind him and down the dark corridor. He shouldn't have been surprised when he saw a familiar silver-haired male speed walk down the hallway towards him, but he was. He didn't really expect Changbin to wake up because it was nearly five in the morning. He wondered if he had sense the emptiness beside him which woke him up.
Chan has been sleeping next to Changbin in his room for the last few days since that night. He has decided to give the male a chance, but they weren't technically dating. The curse was simply just allowing Changbin to love him for a certain amount of time until he figures out if he likes him back or not. However, it seemed as though he was falling for him. It was weird how one day he woke up and felt extremely happy to have Changbin in his arms. He didn't really question it though. He figured it was just the amount of time he spent alone was finally ending since he now has Changbin back at his side.
But there was one thing he was suspicious about. For the past few days, Chan could feel guilt and anxiety emitting from Changbin. He honestly didn't know why he was feeling like that, but he figured it wasn't the best to bring it up. However, it has gotten to a point where the blonde couldn't help but start to worry. Was he making him feel like this?
"I was looking everywhere for you, ya know? Why the hell are you up so early in the morning and walking down here?" Changbin interrogated as soon as he was close enough to the blonde.
"I sensed something. An aura possibly. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't some intruder," Chan simply answered as he began walking to the old elevator installed on the floor.
Changbin's heart raced inside his chest. He knew what Chan was sensing. It was that stupid investigator's aura that was filled with a lot of fear. Since his room was floors above where Felix was located now, it was hard to detect exactly what he was feeling. To know what emotions someone is feeling, it's best to be as close as you can to the aura. Changbin knew what Felix was feeling because he already had an idea on what Hyunjin was going to do to him and Jeongin. Of course, he was a hundred percent okay with it.
Yet, he didn't know how Chan will take the situation. How would he react if Felix and that hero was being killed? He might not react to much for the hero since he doesn't know him, but Chan was too kind-hearted for his own good when it comes to "innocent" people. He was scared as to how he would react to Felix. That was the problem.
Changbin followed Chan behind slowly, but was confused when the curse just stood there in front of the elevator. "Chan? Are you okay?"
"I'm okay, but are you?"
"Huh?" Changbin said as if he was confused, which he was. "I'm fine, just a little tired but I'm fine. Why aren't you opening the elevator?"
"Bin, is there something bothering you? Is it me?" He asked softly, making Changbin panick a bit on this inside. There was no doubt that Chan was sensing his panick and anxiety about Felix's situation.
"You're not bothering me, Chan. I don't know why you even asked that. You could never bother me," he answered honestly, ignoring the first question.
"But is there something bothering you?"
This time, Chan turned his whole body to face Changbin. His expression was soft but stern. He knew something was up and he has had enough of not asking about it. He thought that Changbin was nervous because he made him nervous which was understandable since Bin liked him. He also believed he felt guilty for kind of forcing Chan to give him a chance, but he could no longer believe that. Not after a few days going by and him still feeling like this.
Changbin went quiet and Chan's eyes narrowed a bit. He knew that the younger was hiding something. It was very rare for Changbin to lie to him, so he wondered what it could be. There was nothing Changbin wouldn't tell him immediately because of how much he trusted Chan.
