Rahi

I wouldn't lie right now. I'm fucking scared.

Natatakot ako dahil sa mga problemang nagsidatingan sa doorstep ng buhay ko. Kapag may mga problema, hanap agad ng solusyon. Kapag walang solusyon, h'wag na problemahin.

Oh how I wished that was so easy.

"Gising ka na pala." Napaangat ang tingin ko sa pinto. I'm still at Yoj's house, dito sa guestroom nila.

Naupo si Marceline sa kama. "Are you okay?"

Marahan akong tumango. She put her hand on my forehead. "Hindi ka naman nilalagnat, you fainted and it must be because your body is too tired, or probably your mind."

Makahulugan niya akong tiningnan.
"I'm fine."

"Really? Say that to your brother. He's worried sick about you. Umiyak 'yun kanina, buti nalang napatahan nila Xeah. He's asleep now."

Marahan akong napayuko. I'm playing with my fingers. Being with Marceline for a short period of time, shes being too attentive. Mukhang seryoso nga siya sa mga sinabi niya.

But I shouldn't think about her first, about us. I've been facing another problem na matagal ko na ding pinagtataguan. And yet, here they are. Slamming the door that I've kept shut for years and waltzing in as if they own my territory.

Ma, I wish you're still here. Hindi sana ganito ka hirap.

May kumatok sa pintu aan, napaangat ulit ang tingin ko nang makita na isa isang pumasok ang mga kaibigan ko. Worried faces were shown, even Yoj looks worried with her passive face.

"Care telling us what happened?" Xeah said. She sat down on the bed, opposite to Marceline. Habang ang dalawa ay nakatayo lang. Yoj was leaning on the wall beside the door, crossing her arms, at seryosong nakatingin sa'kin.

Umiling ako. "What? Playing the card of 'this is my problem, not yours' again Rahi? Come on! We've been together ever since, ngayon ka pa ba mahihiya sa amin?" Luci snapped at me. She's clearly pissed.

Of course! Gusto niya lang makatulong. But I'm still turning them after all this time. My ego is bruised ba? Hindi diba? They're my family now, family help each other. So what am I sulking in here for? Retaliate Rahi! Snapped out of it! You can't do it alone.

Napatingin ako sa kanilang lahat. From Marceline, who is now genuinely liking me and being attentive to me, Xeah who is really worried, Luci who's been the happy go lucky but will drop her passive attitude for me and her loved ones, and of course, Yoj who clearly doesn't show any emotion, but being stable herself is a great help for us, and would also drop anything if ever we need her.

How am I so lucky gaining people like this?

"Cal wanted to talk about Shu." Natigilan ang tatlo sa narinig. Marceline was just confused.

"Tangina niya!" Mura ni Luci, alam kong galit din siya.

"Calm down Lu. What would he gain if he talk about the kid?"

Kahit ako hindi ko alam. "Wala akong ideya." Sagot ko dito.

"I'll handle it as soon as possible. So when will you meet him?" Napatingin kaming lahat sa sinabi ni Yoj.

Yoj is capable of gaining information that would be advantage for her or for us. A game maker.  That's why we trust her too much.

"As soon as possible. I don't want to prolong my long awaited moment, na ipamukha sa kanya kung anong nawala sa kanya."
