Allan wanted to have dinner out tonight

Allan wanted to have dinner out tonight. So we went downtown to the same place we went to the last time with everyone. Allan told me he won't buy books. He said he is just buying books and adding them to his to-be-read list and there are already so many. Buying and reading books is his therapy. I am not sure how long will he restrain himself but I know it's not gonna be that long.

"You know you can actually buy a few and stop from the next time, right?" I spoke as he kept eyeing the shop down the street.

"No!" He spoke. "I can't. I already have so many, Jace."

"A few more won't really do any harm, Allan."

"But I don't want a few. I want all of them. All the books I set my eyes on."

"You're addicted."

"With you and books." He said. "Okay, that was cringe. I'll stop talking."

We walked down to the book store. It was late and we were anyways half expecting Ashley to be there.

"Oh hey!" We entered as she sat there with her glasses, buried in a book. She never wore them. Like rarely. But she looked good in them just as much.

"Hi!" Allan said. I was happy Ash and Allan were getting along.

"We got a new stock of Leah Bardugo's collectible edition books. Wanna have a look? They're at the back." Ashley sounded just as excited as Alan did about books.

"But I thought they weren't coming out till June."

"Yeah, but with the show being shot and her new books coming out she hurried up the process." Ashley informed. "I have to stack them up but I can't get out of this Agatha Christie novel. It's very dramatic."

I knew nothing of what they were talking about. All I knew was Agatha Christie is some oldie who wrote a lot of mysteries.

Allan bought 6 novels and we headed back. We offered Ash a ride but she just wouldn't take it. She said she had to stack up the books for tomorrow and do some other work as well. So we left without her.

I slept at his place. I loved waking up next to him. It just always lifted up my mood. Watching him sleep was a different satisfaction. The first thing I see when I wake up is him. I wanna open my eyes to him there, next to me, for however long I can. It's fucking beautiful.

He fell asleep with a book on his chest. He was reading and he passed out. I couldn't sleep so I turned on the LED lights and just lay there looking at him.

He stayed there for a while but then he started moving uneasily. He started moving his face slightly. I looked at him. He was worried. He kept mumbling "No...no no no..." in his sleep.

He was certainly having a nightmare. He hadn't had them in a while. He never tells me what they are about.

He's started crying now. Tears started trickling down his face as he shook his head in dismay. I shook him a little to try to wake him up. But that didn't seem like the right idea.

I moved closer to him and slowly wrapped my arms around him. His face was placed against my chest as more tears streamed down. I didn't like this but I had nothing that I could do about it.

He shook his head for a while and eventually relaxed down and slept peacefully then. I won't let him go out of my arms. If this gave him even a percent of comfort then I will stay here, holding him for as long as I can, right here.

I love this guy and I won't let go of him. Ever
