I enter the class

I enter the class. It's kinda cold today. Sunny but a little cold. The class is filled with strange faces. Mr. Weiner didn't know how to teach. He bored the hell out of his students. All he did was giggle. I get that he is really sweet and everything, but with all due respect, he is too sweet. So I asked for a different teacher. And I got Mr. Ken. I have heard he is quite good at his job. And his class perfectly suits my schedule.

He introduces me in the class. I don't really need it cus by now people already know me as Cole's cousin so screw the whole purpose of an introduction all together. I scanned the room once more. This time I found someone I knew. Maybe not actually, but partially.

Allan was sitting on one of the chairs around the back of the class. Its kinda funny how I remember his name. He was wearing a dark blue hoodie. It looked good on him I guess.

The only seat empty in the entire classroom was next to him. Coincidence? Probably.

I go and sit next to him. He is kinda uncomfortable. Sort of rumbling in his seat. He looks at me and I can't help it so I smile. He looks at me like he looks at everything and everybody else. Dull. Maybe even exhausted. He doesn't smile for a fact. Why? I will probably ask him about this when he comes to the party today. Wait was he even planning to show up at all? I mean I want him to be there. At least someone from the centre.

The class wasn't fun. Honestly no english class is ever fun. How the fuck do people enjoy reading? Like it stands against everything I have ever liked doing. Why would someone ever choose long ass books over video-games and sports. Like how do people even do that?

Allan leaves as soon as the lesson gets over. Its like he was literally waiting to jump out and rush through that door. I try catching up quickly. He was fast. Strangely real fast. I get to his side, still walking, I blurt "Hey!"

He looks at me and adjusts his glasses, takes a second and responds "Hey."

"Waddup." I ask. We were in school. What answer am i even expecting? Studies?

"Nothing much. You tell me!"

"You coming tonight right?" I couldn't help but ask.

"Where?" He asked cluelessly. He doesn't even remember woah. Okay fuck.

"Cole's place? Tonight? The party?"

"Oh! Yeah that." He only kept looking away "No. I won't be able to make it. Sorry."

He sounded dull. More than anything. "C'mon! It's just a block away Allan."

As soon as I took his name, He looked at me "Partying isn't really my thing. I am sorry."

I glanced around, unsure of what to say. I noticed people looking. They were looking in my direction. This was new! "Try at least? You could leave early." I assured.

"Okay. I will give it a thought." And he walked away as I stood in the middle of the hallway. This place was confusing. What the fuck was the way to the cafeteria from here? Ughhhh!

---❁---

I was standing on the porch, drinking and using my phone. The music was loud inside. I didn't know what to wear so I put on a skinny white v-neck t-shirt and a good old locket. Maddie came out and stood next to me. We were talking about her ex girlfriend and then she initially got distracted with her phone too.

A minute later I heard her scream "HOLY. FUCK." as if she just found out she was pregnant. I looked at her face and noticed she was looking towards the street. I turned my eyes and searched for what seemed to make her so shocked.

Allan was standing in front of us at the edge of the street while everyone was staring at him.

This chapter was so much fun to write. I hope y'all enjoy it just as much.
