Alya POV
I am now staring blankly at myself in a full-length mirror and I must say, I look good in what I'm wearing today. It's just a padded shoulder open back mini dress with pearl embellishment paired with black heels yet I find it fascinating.
It's been week yet I still felt empty. Yes, I've been forcing myself to be happy again but it's just, I'm not good at pretending. While looking at the mirror, I wished that's it's a magical mirror and ask it to take me but there's no such things as magics.
"Iha, ikaw nalang ang hinihintay," I immediately wiped the tear that fell from my eyes and turned my back to face Manang.
I gave her a fake smile. "Susunod na po ako, just give me a second."
She nodded and leave the room, leaving the door open. I sighed as much as deeply as I could.
The guests is already downstairs. This mansion that used to be quiet become loud, the engagement party will be happening now and just what I said, I can't do anything to stop this bullshit.
I stepped out to my room and my emotions suddenly mixed up. Anger, Fear and Sadness. Anger to my family because they put me in the situation that I don't like. Fear, knowing I'll marry a man I don't even know. Sadness because my happiness is slowly fading away.
And curiosity, curiosity is killing and eating my systems since last week. Thinking who is this guy! My father didn't mention someone.
I felt body is already shaking. And when I'm already at the top of the staircase, all of their heads turned at my direction as if I'm the most beautiful lady they've ever seen.
Bumaba naman ako at ramdam ko ang mga titig ng mga tao pero hindi ko ito pinansin.
Nang nasa pinakahuli na ako ng hagdan, boses agad ni daddy ang bumungad sa akin. "There she is!"
I roamed my eyes and looked for him, and there! I saw him sitting on the chair that was placed in the middle of a mini stage and beside him is a man in his age wearing a red tuxedo. They looked handsome despite of their age.
They're looking at me while smiling, I took a deep breath before making my way to them. Nang nasa harap na nila ako, yumuko ako ng kunti sa lalaking kausap ni daddy bilang pagbati.
"Beautiful..." I smiled because of his sudden compliment "...They'll be a perfect match!"
Oh, maybe he's the father of the guy. He looks handsome, so feeling ko gwapo din anak niya pero sana naman maganda ang ugali!
"How about your son? Where is he? I bet he grow up matured enough to handle this kind of issue," my father said, I just stayed silent and sat down to the vacant chair.
"Yeah, super matured. He's only 19 yet he acts like an old man, that's how matured he is."
And they both laughed. While me? Silently listening to their topic, I can't relate. Habang nag- uusap sila tungkol sa lalaki na 'yun, nag-iisip naman ako dahil feeling ko talaga nakita ko na ang kausap ni daddy, I just can't remember where.
"Nandito na pala siya!" I heard the old man said.
All the thoughts that's running to my mind immediately faded and was replaced by nervous. Kinakain ng kaba ang sistema ko.
As soon as the door opened, the guests and paparazzi immediately caught his attention. A guy wearing a black tuxedo and a sunglasses made him look like a celebrity when in fact he's just a heir.
He walked towards us. I keep on eyeing him from head to toe, my mind keep on saying that I know him. When he's finally in front of us, he took off his sunglass and that's when my knees become weak.
