Chapter 18- Fun!

Monica POV

We're already weeks traveling around Haeundae and now, we're on our way to the Haeundae Market. They say, Haeundae market is a place to acquaint yourself with Korean street foods.

Wearing a shades, I got off the car. Kasunod ko naman si Xylem. Ang daming tao!

"Why don't you get along together? Huwag kayong maghihiwalay baka maligaw kayo. May pupuntahan lang kami ni Manager Kiel," sabi ni Manager Bea at agad na hinila si Tito Kiel paalis, leaving me dumbfounded.

"Napakapanget kabonding," nakasimangot kong sabi, rinig ko naman ang mahinang tawa ng lalaking katabi ko. 

"Tara na!" sabi niya at hinawakan ang wrist ko, nagpatinaod nalang ako sa kaniya.

Ang ganda ng mga tindahan. Nanlaki ang mata ko ng may makitang pagkain katulad ng napapanood ko sa K-dramas, hinila ko naman si Xylem papalapit doon.

"Let's buy!" nakangiti kong at nginuso ang kulay orange na pagkain. "Do you know that?"

He nodded. "It's tteokbokki. Wait, bibili tayo."

Kinausap naman niya ang nagtitinda in Korean language, wow, I was surprised to know that he knows how to speak Korean. It was placed in a bowl, that's why I helped him carry it and sat down to a table at the side.  

"You know how to speak Korean?" I asked him.

"Medyo lang."

"You've been here?"

"Yeah. Just a little warning, the sauce I choose is gochugura—" 

He stopped from talking when I get a sauce and taste it. Agad naman akong napaubo at tatarantang uminom ng tubig dahil super anghang!

"And it's beyond spicy." dagdag niya.

"Heck! It's spicy yet delicious!" sabi ko

Tteokbokki is saucy, delicious and captivating to the eyes and pleasantly explosive to the taste, it will make you break into a happy sweat specially it's so spicy. 

After that, we also tried the crispy tempura and the Busan specialties fish cake and they're all yummy! I had fun eating their street foods! Parang wala na sa isip ko ang kailangang magdiet dahil sarap na sarap ako.

Pagkatapos namin sa Haeundae Market at inaya ko si Xylem na pumasok sa isang Sea Life Busan Aquarium na malapit lang din dito, no choice siya at sumama nalang sa akin. 

This is Korea's most popular aquarium. Mas lalo akong namangha ng pumasok kami sa isang transparent tunnel walkway design, it's like I'm walking on the ocean floor. Different kind of marine creatures are everywhere.

Hinila ko din si Xylem at nagpatinaod lang siya. Pumunta ako sa lugar where it's allowed to feed the marine creatures like sharks, penguins, otters and more. I throw a fish to the penguins, gumaya na din si Xylem.  Ang ganda ng ngiti ko dahil nag eenjoy ako!

But my smile immediately faded when I heard a camera clicked. I turned my gaze to the guy beside me who is smiling in front of his phone, gusto ko siyang kunan ng litrato kaso naiwan ko ata phone ko.

Sayang! Pang meme na sana. He looked at me seriously before smiling like an idiot. What's wrong with this guy?

"Ya!! What's wrong with you?" I shouted but he just grin. I'm curious! I walked toward him and tried to look at his phone but he raised his hands on the air.

"Hey! Let me see!" I said and tried to reach it but he's so tall and I'm only wearing a flat shoes, hanggang chin niya lang ako. At isa pa, ang haba ng braso niya.

"Na-ah. Try to reach it maybe I'll consider letting you see what's in it."

I tried to reach it again, sa sobrang galaw ko muntikan na ako matumba lalo na't nawalan ako ng balanse, mabuti nalang nahawakan niya ang bewang ko. And that's when my heart started to beat abnormally and I hate him for making me feel this.

"Yeppeuda (pretty)..." he mumbled. Ramdam ko ang pag init ng pisngi ko dahil sa posisyon namin kaya agad akong umayos ng tayo.

"You okay?" he softly asked.

"Yeah. Ano... Tara na!" sabi ko at nauna ng maglakad, ramdam ko naman na nakasunod siya kaya kampante ako.

Lumabas na kami ng Aquarium pero hindi ko pa din siya pinapansin, ewan ko kung bakit! I hate his presence, parang kunti nalang aatekhin na ako sa puso lalo na't nandito lang siya sa gilid gilid.

We're now in the Cinema street, it's the seafront walkway by Marine City in Haeundae. We're now taking in a sea breeze at the same time as viewing Cinema Street's plethora of film-related sculptures and images. 

This place is breathtaking! I took a photos with the trick-eye images painted on the ground while Xylem is just silently following me. I also saw a film posters from vintage Korean movies!

After that, I sat on the seawall and enjoy the view. Xylem did the same, he offered me a burger with soda so I accepted it.

"Where'd you buy this?" I asked and took a bite on the burger, yummy!

"Doon lang, may nakita kase akong fast food chain. You were busy taking photos of the things around here that you didn't notice I'm already gone."

I chuckled. "Masyado lang akong namangha. At kita mo ang view dito? Ang ganda!"

"Haeundae is one of the most beautiful place here in South Korea for me."

"Me too! Kase ito palang naman napuntahan ko e," tumawa naman siya dahil doon.

We stayed here for days pero dito lang talaga sa lugar na 'to. Nakita ko na din ang mga oppa ko, nakahingi ako ng fan sign sa bts kahapon! Pumunta kase sila dito, grabe ang reaksiyon ko non! As in! Halos nahirapan na akong huminga dahil sobrang gwapo nala, makapigil hininga talaga. 

"Did you have fun?" he asked.

I smiled. "Yeah, super."

"That's great."

"How about you?" I asked him, kase naman wala siyang ginawa kundi ang sundan lang ako e.

"Yeah," sabi niya kaya napatingin ako sa kaniya.

"You did?" nagtataka kong tanong, he nodded. "How come?"

"I had fun, I enjoyed views like your smiles and laughs," he said but he just whispered the last words.

"Ano?" tanong ko pero umiling lang siya. Weirdo. 

We stayed longer at the sea wall talking about some random things and that's when, I started to know him more. That he's not just a jerk, asshole but he's also soft and kinda kind.

I'm staring at him while he's talking about his life, parang sobrang open na niya sa akin ngayon.

"Monica?" 

I had fun. I must admit that I won't enjoy this much if he's not around.

"Monica?" bumalik naman ako sa ulirat, napatagal na pala ang titig ko sa kaniya. "Are you daydreaming?"

My eyebrow raised and was about to speak pero naunahan niya ako. "About me?"

What the heck? Does he thinks of my pervert to daydream about him? He laughed with full of confidence, grabe sobrang kapal ng mukha. I smiled sarcastically at him and was about to punch him when he moved away and laughed again while I'm frowning.

"There you are... " sabay naman kaming napalingon ng marinig namin ang boses ni Tito Kiel, a smile escaped from his lips. "... I can see that you had fun."

Tumayo na si Xylem kaya gumaya din ako.

"Manager, uuwi na po ba?" tanong ni Xylem.

"Wow ha, parang ayaw mo pa ah. Ano, gusto mo pa'ng masolo si Monica?" sabat ni Manager Bea paglapit niya sa amin.

"Manager!" I yelled.
