Sevyn will never understand how so much blood can come out of a person without them passing out or dying. There's blood everywhere. From the sidewalk, to the steps even dripping down to the socks.

She shakes her head, looking back on what happened.

Kat and Shaun took off as soon as Monica yelled 'go' and disappeared down the street. It was a good fifteen minutes before the sounds of the bike engines were heard roaring towards the house. Shaun was in the lead with Kat about three feet behind him. Shaun just had to be cocky and decided to pop a wheelie for show.

He turned around to stick his tongue out at Kat, and in those five seconds he managed to hit the curb of the sidewalk and go flying off the bike. He skidded across the pavement six feet away from the bike before coming to a stop.

His friends gathered around him when he didn't get up and rolled him over onto his back. Ty removed his helmet and they all stared at him, waiting for some kind of reaction.

Shaun opened his eyes and looked around at all his friends before asking, "Did I win?"

"Your leg!" Kat exclaimed, pointing downwards. Everyone's eyes followed her fingers to see his knee was busted open and a big pool of scarlet blood was glistening in the sun.

"I know first aid, get him inside." Miranda commanded.

"Quietly," Ty warned. "If Aunt Mel sees this she won't let us near the bikes again."

Shaun winced as his friends helped him to his feet. His knee was on fire like the sun was boiling his blood and he limped towards the door with the help of Ty and Malcolm. Getting up the stairs was the hardest part but they managed to sneak him in without Aunt Mel hearing.

Once they reached the downstairs bathroom, everyone gave Miranda room to tend to his wound. She ran a warm towel under the faucet then applied it to his knee. Shaun jerked a little from the slight pain that shot through his leg. Miranda held the cloth there for three minutes before cleaning the wound with peroxide then looking in the cabinets for band aids.

"That looks disgusting," Sevyn says now with a scrunched up face.

"You busted up your leg to the white meat bruh," Malcolm winces like he can physically feel Shaun's pain. "That must be killing you."

Shaun looks at his knee. It's swollen and quickly turning a bluish purple, the actual cut is deep enough to see some of the thick tissue and more blood. "It actually feels numb."

"Wait until later," Miranda finds gauze and places it on his knee before wrapping it around twice to secure it. "Better?" She asks.

"Yup, thanks doc." Shaun struggles to stand up with his one knee wrapped tightly in gauze. He limps out the bathroom with the others while Malcolm and Ty go outside to put away the dirt bikes.

Shaun plops down on the couch and props up his hurt leg on the coffee table. Kat places a plastic bag filled with ice on his wound.

"Well I guess you know what this means girls." He smiles at each of them. "Time to make your video saying we're the best."

"What? You flipped off a dirt bike and almost killed yourself, you forfeit." Kat insists.

Shaun sucks his teeth, "Nah we're not even about to play that game. You said the first one to get back to the driveway wins."

"You didn't even make it to the driveway, you flipped onto the sidewalk." Sevyn points out.

"That's not fair! I would have won regardless, I was three feet in front of her!" Shaun's voice raises the more he tries to argue his point.
