Sevyn bounds down the stairs with the intent of lounging on the couch watching movies all day. Her mom went out, Ty slept over Talia's house and Malcolm won't bother her very much. So staying in front of the tv for countless hours watching Netflix won't be a problem.
That idea is quickly killed when she hears the tv already on. "Aww, you just ruined my whole plan for the day." She pouts walking over to the couch. She stops in her tracks when she sees Jackson sitting in her spot like he lives here.. Her eyebrows scrunch together, "What are you doing here?" She says bitterly, remembering their argument from yesterday.
"Ah the princess awakens." He says smiling at her.
"Where's Malcolm?" She asks.
"He left a little while ago, said he'll be back later."
Sevyn raises an eyebrow, "So my brother left you in our house while I was sleeping? Some protector." She folds her arms and puts all her weight on one foot. "Why are you on my couch?"
"Usually I'm in your bed but someone caught a little attitude yesterday." Jackson stands up and stretches.
Sevyn is about to snap back at him but instead lets the words die in her throat. "You know what, I'm not about to get worked up over this again." She walks into the kitchen and over to the fridge, setting her phone down on the table.
"I see you've still got your panties in a twist." Jackson follows her into the kitchen and sits down in a chair.
"You've got some nerve, you know that?" Sevyn slams the fridge shut and rests her back against it. She crosses one leg over the other and glares at him. "After everything we talked about yesterday."
"That was not a talk it was an argument." Jackson comments, flipping through the newspaper casually.
"It wouldn't have been if you weren't acting so childish." She states, "No wonder you and Taylor get along so well. You both like getting under my skin and doing things to piss me off."
Jackson's eyes snap up to hers. "You really believe that?"
She doesn't say anything as she continues to glare at him. Of course she doesn't really believe that, and the tone of voice he just used with her makes her feel dumb for even saying it. She won't admit that right now though, let him think she really meant what she said. Maybe it'll prove her point that she's genuinely hurt by what happened yesterday. Call her dramatic, but having your boyfriend stand by while another girl gets at you doesn't feel good at all. It's actually embarrassing to some extent.
Jackson lets out a breath and folds up the newspaper. "Come here," he gestures for her to walk over and she stares at him with a stubborn look before reluctantly sauntering over to him slowly. He puts an arm around her waist and she lets him position her on his lap. She looks at the floor to avoid his eye.
"I know you're upset about me talking to Taylor. But can I at least tell you why I did it?" He asks, she nods her head yes. He smells good, as always, and that seems to relax her tense body. "I asked Taylor for advice."
"About what?" Sevyn's eyebrows knit together curiously.
"How to make you feel more comfortable with me when we get in the mood." He admits sheepishly. "I needed her to tell me what I did to make her comfortable and ready to sleep with me so I could do the same to you. I want you to feel relaxed with me instead of nervous and awkward or pressured."
Now she feels bad for jumping down his throat yesterday. He was only talking to Taylor for Sevyn's sake.
"I didnt know who else to go to." Jackson continues, "My parents would make it awkward, I definitely couldn't go to your brothers and I considered Monica but we both know how freaky she likes to get. Taylor was my last resort. And you know she likes to blow things out of proportion. I haven't talked to her since the last basketball game of the season, one because she's crazy and two because I know you don't like her. I would never betray you like that, Sev."
