A lot of the time, Sevyn appreciates advice from people older than her. She takes their words in to consideration and applies them to her every day life. But at this very moment, she wishes her father would just stop talking.

"But you're the one who tried to convince mom to let Ty go to Puerto Rico with Talia." She points out. Her and her brothers went to visit their dad and relay the good news to him about Santa Monica, but he sounds a little iffy about the subject.

"I just don't think a house full of teenagers is a good idea." Her father says.

"Technically Shaun is an adult, he turned eighteen May 20th. And we'll be eighteen in a few weeks." Ty points out.

"Still, having all of you in one big house in Santa Monica doesn't sit too well for me."

"Aunt Mel will be there." Malcolm adds in exasperatedly.

"Well she can't keep her eyes on all of you at once." Jared rubs his head as he talks. "If it was just three of you that's fine but if bringing along boyfriends and---"

Sevyn sucks her teeth. "That's what this is about?" She questions. "You don't want me to go away with Jackson?"

"It's not just that..." He says looking like a deer caught in headlights.

"Yes it is, you were perfectly fine with Ty going with Talia but with me you treat the whole situation differently." Sevyn crosses her arms across her chest. "I am responsible you know, the most responsible one going on the trip actually."

"I know that Sevyn but you don't do very well under pressure." Her dad says.

Her face scrunches up like he just slapped her. "Under pressure? Jackson isn't like that, he can control his urges unlike some people." The sharp jab she just delivered makes her father look at the floor in shame. Sevyn gets up front the couch and walks into the kitchen just for a moment by herself. She finds Janine sitting in the kitchen typing on laptop and drinking orange juice.

"What's happening on this episode of family matters?" Janine giggles.

Sevyn glares at her and leans against the counter. "My dad doesn't trust me basically. Not that he knows much about trust."

Janine snorts, "Obviously."

"What are you doing?" Sevyn asks, anything to avoid discussing her dad.

"Looking for nice spas around CT. This place is so boring," she taps away on the keyboard. "Heard from Keenan lately?"

"No, we aren't really that close. Why?"

"Baby mama drama." Janine rakes her fingers through her hair. "Neveah isn't his daughter."

Sevyn gasps and takes a seat across from her. "You're lying."

"I'm not. He told me himself a few days ago."

"Who's Neveah's real dad then? Please don't tell me Aubrey kidnapped the poor baby."

Janine laughs, "That would be much better than what Keenan is going trough now. Aubrey told him her actual baby daddy is some guy named Jeremiah, her ex from Florida."

"That's crazy," Sevyn's mind is reeling.

"I know." Janine's shakes her head. "Damn Aubrey, I actually liked her."

"I can't believe she would do that to Keenan. He must be a mess." She sighs feeling pity for him.

"Oh he's a wreck, he came to my house on the verge of tears. I call him everyday to make sure he didn't do anything stupid." Janine says. "People do crazy things when they're in love."
