Aubrey stares at Jeremiah in complete shock with a racing heart and sweaty palms. He stares back at her like she just stabbed him in the heart. She can't believe she just said that to him, it slipped out of her mouth before her mind could even process it.

"What did you just say?" Jeremiah whispers, his eyes darkening.

Aubrey scrambles to gather her words but nothing comes out her dry mouth as she tries to comprehend what just happened.

They started off kissing and Jeremiah had backed her up against the wall, his hands explored her body and his tongue explore her mouth. His hand slipped into her capris and soon he had her moaning. Except the name she passionately whispered wasn't his.

Jeremiah's hands fall away from her body like he's disgusted to touch her. "Did you just call me Keenan?"

"I-I don't remember." She stammers.

"Don't lie to me." Jeremiah's teeth clench and she shrinks away from him. She slides against the wall so that she's closer to the bed and not trapped in a corner.

"His name slipped out, I'm sorry." Aubrey apologizes and each word has to force it's way through her throat.

Jeremiah's eyes are so dark that his pupils look non-existent. "Do you know how disrespectful that is? Calling me another mans name while we're together?" He growls at her, shaking his head the same way a parent would shake their head at a naughty child. "You know what Aubrey? You're a slut."

"No I'm n--"

"A whore! A skank! A thot!" He yells at her.

Aubrey blinks quickly to keep the tears that are pricking her eyes from falling. "It was an accident." She says softly.

"No it wasn't, you obviously had him on your mind. What were you thinking about Aubrey? You miss him or somethin'?"

By now her tears are blurring her vision but she keeps a stoic expression. "No,"

"Then why did you say his name?"

"I don't know," she says truthfully. "I wasn't thinking about him, it just came out unexpectedly. I'm sorry."

Jeremiah licks his lips and digs his phone out of his pocket. He taps it a few times then sits next to her on the bed and throws his arm around her neck, holding her in a tight headlock against his shoulder. "Let me show you a little video."

Her heart drops, "Please no."

"Shut up and watch it." He demands and presses play on his phone.

Aubrey watches with shame as her drunken self tosses back a liquor bottle with a group of her friends back in Florida. She remembers this night so clearly that it makes her stomach tie into knots just by watching it. As she listens to herself speak with a drunk slur, she sees how stupid she was that night and regret eats away at her insides. She closes her eyes so she doesn't have to see her sloppy self.

"Ok, enough." She pushes Jeremiah and stands up with her face in her hands.

"Slip up again babygirl, and that video goes viral." Jeremiah warns her. She wipes her tears from her cheeks and tries to keep her dignity from crumbling but her lip quivers and gives her away.

Jeremiah stands up and cups her face, he looks her right in the eyes and she bites her lip to keep it from quaking. "I want Neveah's last name changed to mine." Her stomach lurches but she just nods her head ok. "I'll figure how to get the papers and then I'll bring them for you to sign. Alright?"

She nods again. Jeremiah kisses her lips softly then takes his hand away, "Go clean up your face, you look a mess."

Aubrey doesn't say anything and does as she's told. Once she's in the bathroom she shuts the door and washes her face with cool water. She looks in the mirror feeling disgusted and frustrated with herself. There are weary circles under her eyes and her hair is a mess from when Jeremiah tangled his fingers in it. If her father saw her now, he would be so disappointed in her. The thought of him makes her heart ache and she closes her eyes as tears roll down her cheeks and make a trail towards her chin. Resting her back against the wall, she sinks down on the floor and pulls her knees up to her chest. She feels dead inside knowing that Jeremiah has a hold on her no matter what.
