They touched down in California at exactly one am the next morning. Now that they're in the different time zone they technically arrived there at four. Their uncle had arranged for a driver to meet them at the airport and drive them to the house. While everyone else was snoring in the car, Sevyn was busy admiring the west coast. The sky was slowly fading from a navy blue to a soft pink as the sun rose. The buildings they pasted all looked interesting and she wished she could go out the car and go explore but she knows everyone is too tire for that.
When they arrive at the house, her aunt greets them at the door, still dressed in her silky blue robe. "This house, is amazing." Kat gawks as she climbs out the car and stretches her limbs.
Sevyn can't agree more. They're literally right on the beach with the ocean a few yards away. It's gorgeous and the smell of salt lingers in the early morning air.
"Not that this view isn't beautiful or anything, but I bet it would be even better if I could see straight." Monica says grumpily, she's far from a morning person.
"Agreed", Shaun yells. "I'm tired and I have a crick in my neck from sleeping on Kat's shoulder."
"You kids come on in and get settled in your rooms. You can unpack later but you should all rest first." Aunt Melanie says. They carry their luggage up the wooden steps and into the large home. Sevyn steps into a spacious living room that's decorated with blue and white accessories. She spots a flat screen and surround sound against the wall, along with an L-shaped couch.
"Wow," she breaths out.
"Come, let me bring you to your rooms." Aunt Mel leads the group up a flight of stairs to the second floor. The hallway is adorned with doors on each side. "It's a six bedroom, three bathroom house. Pick a room and go to sleep, I'll see you all later in the day."
"Thank you Auntie," Sevyn says.
Her aunt kisses her cheek, "You're welcome boo." She gives a quick wave before rounding the corner of the hallway and going into the master bedroom.
All at once, everyone breaks out in a mad dash to grab the bedroom they want. Jackson pulls Sevyn into a bedroom to the left and closes the door. He tosses his suitcases to the side and kicks off his shoes. Sevyn does the same. "So I guess we're roommates?"
"Is that a problem?" Jackson climbs on to the full size bed and gets comfortable.
"Well maybe I wanted to share a room with Monica." She states.
Jackson gives her a look, "There's the door, you can use it. As long as you don't mind sharing a room with two lesbians."
Sevyn thinks for a moment before climbing on to the bed beside him. "I'd rather sleep with you."
"Oh really?" He smirks at her.
"I meant actually sleep." She scoffs at him. "I should really take a shower before going to sleep."
"We can all shower later in the morning." Jackson says. "Now go to sleep." He lays on his side and fluffs his pillow to get comfortable.
Sevyn lets her head sink into the softness of the pillow and smiles as her eyes slowly close. They finally made it. They're in California.
Aubrey takes the elevator to the third floor like Jeremiah told her to. He wanted to hang out with her today, just the two of them without having to go out. Her aunt offered to take Neveah for the day and honestly she feels exposed without her baby to hide behind.
When she gets to the third floor she follows the numbers to room 313. After two knocks, it swings open to reveal a shirtless Jeremiah. "Hey I was just about to call you."
