After rubbing the sleep out her eyes and brushing her teeth, Sevyn follows her brothers downstairs to the living room where Uncle Renny is conversing with her mom. When he spots her, he stands up and opens his arms wide.

"Come here odd ball." He says, using the nickname he gave her since birth. He thought it was hilarious because seven is an odd number, to Sevyn it was a stupid pun. "Girl are you getting taller?" He asks as he squeezes her in a bear hug.

Ty snorts, "Don't gas her."

"Shut up," Sevyn barks at him, then looks up at her Uncle again. "What brings you up?"

"Well I feel bad for missing my nephews graduation and I decided to make it up to them, by letting them borrow the beach house for a few weeks." Uncle Renny says, sitting down in the arm chair. "I haven't seen my dear sister in about a year either and I decided to pay her a visit. I was thinking that while y'all are enjoying the beach house, I could chill here for a while and catch up with the family. I'm sure mom would love to see me since I'm the favorite."

Christine laughs at her brothers arrogance. "Yeah right, I'm the favorite." She counters. "But what about adult supervision while they're in Cali?"

"Relax Chrissy, I've got this under control." Uncle Renny assures her. "Since its no secret that you don't favor my wife, Melanie said she has so problem staying at home and keeping an eye on things."

"Good, that woman drives me crazy with her squeaky voice and OCD." Christine rolls her eyes. "I don't know why you married her."

"Lets not go there." Uncle Renny warns. "Lets not forget which one of us just got divorced."

Sevyn winces and shares the same look with her brothers. They're both staring wide eyed at their Uncles low blow as he casually stares at his sister. Christine's eyes flicker for a moment before she shrugs, "I guess it just wasn't meant to be." She says standing up from the couch. "Hungry?" Without a response she walks into the kitchen.

Sevyn and her brothers sit quietly as the tension wafts through the air. Uncle Renny scoots forward in his seat and puts his elbows on his knees. "So are y'all up for a few weeks in Cali?"

"You ain't gotta ask me twice." Ty says smiling. "I could have my bag packed and in the car in fifteen minutes flat."

"Slow your road homie." Uncle Renny chuckles. "What's summer in Cali, without some friends to tag along?"

Malcolm's eyes widen, "Wait you mean we can bring friends?"

"Whoever you want, but no more than ten."

"Ten extra people? You're house can accommodate that many?" Sevyn asks astounded. She's never been to visit her aunt and uncle in Cali but the pictures she's seen on Facebook of their house doesn't make it seem that big.

"Y'all talking to uncle Big Bucks, I've got more than enough room." He says. "Plus you're teenagers, you'll sleep anywhere as long as you have a pillow."

"I don't even need that. I could fold up a shirt and knock out." Malcolm replies.

Ty agrees, "I've done it plenty of times in history class."

Sevyn shakes her head and turns back to her uncle. "So you're gonna pay for the plane tickets and everything?"

"Of course, this is your brothers graduation gift from me. They deserve it." He says.

Sevyn arches an eyebrow, "What do I get when I graduate next year?"

Uncle Renny shrugs, "What do you want?"

It's takes her only two seconds to respond. "A car."

"Done. Tell me what model and it will be in your garage by the time you return home from the ceremony."
