"He asked you to become a dope boy!?" Shaun howls with laughter as Corey stares at him through the camera. "Ty, come here! Corey's step-dad asked him to be a dope boy!"
"What?" Ty chuckles and walks over to where Shaun is sitting on the couch. He moves into the camera and gives Corey a look. "Are you gonna do it?"
"No, what do I look like?" Corey snaps.
Shaun laughs, "I think your dad misinterpreted the name 'Dough boy'."
"That's what I'm saying. But his headquarters are disguised so well you'd never guess what was really going on. The top floors are like offices and cubicles and the elevator to the basement is camouflaged into the wall, you need a key to use it. And the basement is where all the illegal stuff goes down." Corey tells them in a low voice in case Alonzo is around.
"He's stocked?" Shaun asked.
"The man is a drug lord. He had everything from lean to loud, I felt like I was suffocating in there. No doors, no windows, completely enclosed."
"Dang, they must be living in luxury." Ty says. "Better than uncle Renny?"
"Nah, but very close." Corey says.
"Yo are you coming to Cali or nah? Talia is coming out here soon and ima be the only single mother trucker in this place." Shaun says, "And I can't handle all this boo lovin."
Corey shrugs his shoulders, "I don't know yet, I'll get back to y'all on that soon. Aside from Alonzo, I like being here with my family and Risa."
"Oooh Risa, how's that going?" Ty smirks. "If you don't snatch that up then I will."
"Ay, stick to your Cali girls." He says. "Where's everyone else at?"
"Miranda and Malcolm are upstairs and Kat, Money, Sevyn and Jackson took the bus to a corny carnival." Ty replies.
"Why y'all ain't go?"
"I told you before, too much boo lovin." Shaun makes a face.
"What about those twins you sent me a picture with?" Corey asks.
Shaun's mouth forms an 'o' shape. "Yo I forgot about them! We should call them up and see if they wanna meet us at the carnival."
"I'm taken," Ty reminds.
Shaun shrugs, "More for me," he looks at Corey. "We love you bro but I need my phone to call those twins."
"You're a trip," Corey laughs. "I'll talk to y'all fools later. Tell everyone I said hi."
"A'ight, bye doughboy. Stay away from the drugs!" Ty shouts. Corey gives a sarcastic laugh then ends the call. Shaun snatches up his phone and scrolls through his contacts before clicking on Chanel's name. He licks his lips and waits for an answer as Ty shakes his head.
"Hello, Chanel? It's Shaun, from the party last Friday...yeah hi. You heard about the carnival that's in town right? You have, well me and Ty wanna know if you and your sister would like to meet us there." He says. Ty gives him the side eyes but he just smiles goofily. He waits a few minutes and listens to their reply. "A'ight, we're leaving now, well see y'all there."
Shaun hangs up the phone, "Yes!" He exclaims. "We've gotta date with sexy twins."
"Nah, you've got a date." Ty corrects.
Shaun sighs and puts his phone into his pocket. "I don't get why you're so uptight about this. Ever since Talia left you haven't been any type of fun to chill with. She's having the time of her life in Puerto Rico and you need to relax and kick it with me too."
