CHAPTER NINETEEN
WARMTH
Casper's sound asleep the next morning. I was too careful not to make a noise so I wouldn't disturb him. I took a shower before I went back to my study table to put my things inside my bag. I leave my reviewer so I could read it from time to time while I'm preparing for my class.
I piled the papers, and put my highlighters inside my pen capsule when I noticed something that doesn't belong to my things. I put down my highlighters to see what it was. It was a vellum board that was turned over so I couldn't see what was written on it. I turned it over, and my mouth gaped open when I saw another art.
It's obviously from Casper. It was a cat, and a guy lying on their stomach on a bed while their arms were cupping their faces while making a cute face. There's a speech bubble. The cat's speech bubble has a 'meow' on it while the guy's bubble was 'mianhe'. He has a signature below, 'Slate'
I bit my lips to suppress my smile.
Casper didn't do anything wrong. He may annoy me that much from time to time, but he didn't do anything wrong. I was the one who's reckless between us even though I swear at myself that I would never do it. My emotions always got the better of me, and here's Casper, asking for forgiveness from me for the thing that he didn't even do.
He didn't do anything wrong and he's sorry...but the people who broke me made me feel that everything was my fault. The world was really round because it was never fair. Not even once.
"Morning." I looked back to see Casper yawing while scratching his disheveled hair. I simply hide his drawing along with my pile of papers.
"Same." I answered back.
"Rude, hon. Rude." And he started annoying me again.
"Edi good morning." I sarcastically answered.
"I understand you, baby love." Ngumisi siya sa akin.
I frowned at him before walking inside my walk-in closet to choose my outfit for today. I scanned through the racks and I saw a denim jumpsuit so I picked it with my loose long sleeve top to match with it. I locked the door before I changed my clothes. I chose a brown ankle boot before I went outside.
"San fashion show?" kaagad niyang tanong nang Makita niya ang suot ko.
"San mo ba gusto?" I asked. I sat on my vanity mirror to apply my face care and fix my hair as well.
"Sa pushu mu...ayiee—"
"San mo gusto kumain?" I asked him again. I smirked at him, and he stilled upon realizing that I just bummed him that fast.
He looked at Eclipse. He scratched the back of his head. "Basag ako 'ron ah!"
"No harm done, Casper." I sang answered to annoy him more. Makaganti manlang minsan.
"I surrender babe." He put up his hands.
I scoffed. I looked back on my reflection before smiling sheepishly. I raised my eyebrows as I apply my liptint on my lips. "Bawal di'ba?" I asked him, making him remember what he told me days ago. Bawal. It's a no because he's a ghost.
"Huh?"
"Pero alam nating masarap ang bawal."

"Ahh, saraapp!" Casper sipped on his soup. We're in my school's parking space and we're grabbing breakfast from Chowking. I bought the wanton soup, and two cups of coffee for us. It's nearly Christmas so it was colder than the usual. I even brought my jacket with me again.
