CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
REST
"Pang-ilang araw ko na ba ngayon? Three? Ilang araw ba dapat 'to?"
Casper was looking at me with full on confusion as if his problem was as big as him. He's holding the medicine that he'd been drinking for days. It took him two days before he got better. He still has a light fever, but he's back into being an asshole again.
"Tanungin mo si Eclipse." Sagot ko sa kaniya.
He looked at Eclipse. "Ming, pang-ilang araw ko na 'to, ming?"
Meow.
I bit my lips, staring at Casper through the mirror. He's talking to Eclipse as if my cat would answer him. Baka makakita pa ako ng tumitiling multo kapag nagsalita si Eclipse, at sagutin siya.
"I'll go get you some food." I told Casper. I put down my hair brush and went out of the room. The helpers were out there, washing the dishes. Hindi ko na sila pinansin at kumuha na ng tiring sinangag. I prepared coffee for Casper as well. I boiled some water, and placed it in the cup. I also get a pack of 3in1 coffee.
When I was done, I placed them on the tray and I was about to walk towards the stairs when I met my cousin in the half way.
She smiled at me. "Ops."
I tried to ignore her and walk pass her when she held my arm and pushed me hard, making the cup of hot water spilled against my hand. I hissed because it was still hot. I tried to calm myself down.
"Excuse," I tried to say, biting the insides of my mouth because of the stinging pain in my palm.
"Kinakausap kita—"
"Pwes ako, hindi." Mabilis kong sagot.
"I heard you're grabbing a breakfast every morning and eating it in your room. Ang kapal naman ng mukha mo—"
"Wag ka mag-alala. Mamamalengke ako para sa'yo bukas." Ani ko at nilampasan ko siya. I ascended upstairs. She probably waited for me just to say that. She wanted to rebuke everything to me because I never belong to this house, and I don't even own anything so I don't have the rights.
I opened the door of my room, and I immediately placed the tray on the nearest available space, which is my vanity table. I went inside the bathroom to wash my palm. It's burning. Kakakulo lang ng tubig na tumapon sa akin.
"Anong..." Casper suddenly appeared behind me. "Anong nangyari diyan?!"
"Wala."
Mabilis na kinuha ni Casper ang kamay ko at sinuri. I saw his dark aura again, which made me shut up. He continued washing my hands, before wiping it with cloth softly. He didn't let go of it. He opened the medicine box and grabbed some cream before making me sit on my vanity mirror.
"Anong nangyari?" he sat on the floor.
"Don't mind it."
"Tsk. Da't gumanti ka."
"Ganti mo mukha mo." I answered. If I only could, I will push Pauline's face in a casserole full of boiling water so her face would suit her attitude, but I know I'll pay for it, and even just a little scratch from me. I don't have anyone to defend me so whatever I could do, I will always be the loser.
"Ako bahala. Pagalawin natin buhok niya habang nagsusuklay." He carefully applied ointment on my hand. I flinched with the contact but he held it tight.
"Gago." Sinimangutan ko siya.
"Ano, g ka?" he gave me a playful smile while finishing applying the ointment.
