Chapter Twenty Two: Reason

CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

 REASON 

I pushed Casper as hard as I can. I don't know where my strength came from but Casper's head bumped into the window. He groaned in pain but I just don't care. Umiwas ako nang tingin kaagad at isinara muli ang pintuan ng kotse ko.

"Saket, pota." He whispered before looking at me. He slowly smiled. "Ayos ba?"

I glared at him. "Shut up." I tried to heave a breath. I feel like I ran miles away. I need to calm down or else...I don't know anymore. Gusto ko na siyang sapakin kanina pa.

"Mianhe." He sighed.

"Whatever you say," I just answered before starting the engine again. I looked at the time. It's already 7:30 in the morning. I still have a lot of workloads to do for today. Our professors might not be discussing but they give us a lot of requirements to pass on time, lalo na't graduating kami.

"Let's grab some breakfast first." Aniya.

"Right." I just answered. It become more awkward between us. I sighed before speeding up.

"Let's go to grocery first." Napalingon ako nang magsalita siya. His mouth pointed the other side of the road. There's a small grocery store in there. I nodded my head before maneuvering the car.

All Casper did was to point every chips the he saw. He looks excited. I just let him since it wasn't that expensive. I grabbed some chocolates for me, and cans of coffee. My unit has been empty for months already so I'm sure that there's nothing in there but dusts.

"May pangluto ka ba 'ron?" Casper asked me.

"Wala akong balak mag-luto. Manahimik ka riyan." Sagot ko.

He chuckled. "I was just asking."

"It's fully furnished, things there are complete as it is."

He just nodded. We didn't buy much food, but it's enough to survive the whole day. Casper asked me to spend the whole day there, and I thought of it too. It's not bad to stay in my own place. I can move there freely. Nobody's watching me, so is Casper.

"Wait for me in the car." I told him when we're about to fall in the line.

"How rude." He puffed a breath smiling at me.

I raised my eye brow. "What?"

"It will be rude of me if I will just wait for you in the car." Then he leaned closer to my face. "I told you, I'm a gentleman."

I just frowned. "And this lady doesn't need a gentleman so stop that."

Umayos siya nang tayo. I heard his laughter but I just ignored him until we're already walking outside the grocery store. I opened my car already and Casper helped me depositing the groceries in the back seat. I looked around to see if there's people but there's none, except the car that was approaching us.

"Casper, stop that." I stopped Casper when the car was about to park beside mine.

"Wait—"

"May tao!" I hissed.

Casper stopped doing the groceries. I pretended to be the one who's fixing the groceries, and the car stopped beside us. The driver's seat opened but I just ignored it pretending to be busy with my own business.
