Chapter Thirty Three: Relief

CHAPTER THIRTY THREE: 

RELIEF 

He waved his hand on me. I can't express any reaction as I am surrounded with people. Gusto kong magsalita o ikunot ang noo ko, but I have no choice but to remain my face stoic and emotionless, yet my breathing and my heart is racing inside of me. Ito iyong mga pagkakataon na ang laki ng pasasalamat ko at kaya 'kong itago ang nararamdaman ko.

On the other side, I saw in my peripheral view that Heidee is smirking, and amusement is evident on her face—while Casper was walking towards me like he doesn't mind the people around us.

Kahit ako, para nang walang pakialam at tanging ang nararamdaman ko lang na pilit kong itinatanggi ang nangigibabaw. While staring at him, I don't care about other people anymore. It's just the two of us.

"HOY! MUNTANGA! ANO TE DITO LANG TAYO?! STAY KASI DI SIYA NAGSTAY?!" Napakurap ako at parang bumalik sa katinuan nang magsalita si Lailane sa gilid ko. She's next to mine sa pilahan ng pagkain. My gazed went in front of me at halos dalawang metro na ang layo ko kay Pia.

"Mauna ka na." I glared at her as if it wasn't my fault. Well, technically it's not my fault. Kasalanan iyon ni Casper.

"Ikaw na. Tulala ka kasi e." she rolled her eyes and pushed me near Pia. Halos kami na ang next.

"Kung tulala ako, edi ikaw 'din right?" I asked. "Sinong lalaki na naman iniisip mo?"

"Heh!" She just ignored me and followed Pia. Nang mawala na ang atensyon niya sa'kin ay pasimpleng umikot ang tingin ko para hanapin si Casper, andI almost jumped on my spot when I saw him on my left side.

He's grinning ear to ear. "Makiki-party din ako."

"What the fuck." I cursed under my breathe. Kung kanina ang reaksyon ko ay kakaiba, it's different now. I want to punch him right in his face but I can't to it.

"Ehehehe..." he gave me a piece sign. "Turn mo na. Pakain ah. Pakiramihan." He reminded too.

The audacity of this ghost.

When it's my turn, halos lahat ay nakakuha na that's why Casper got his luck when Violet—as she is the one scooping the food. May namimigay pa ng zesto at may nag-donate ng buko pandan salad at spaghetti bukod sa pancit at palabok na ipinamimigay. Lahat 'yon ay dinagdagan nang magbigay sa akin.

"Ayos yan..." ngumisi si Casper.

"Gago ka ba?" I wasn't able to stop myself. Kahit si Casper ay natigilan at sabay pa kaming napatingin kay Violet na natigilan din.

"Ha?" Violet asked me with the mixture of annoyance and curiosity.

"May iniisip lang akong salot." I answered while shaking my head.

"Salot?!" Casper pointed himself.

Kumunot ang noo ni Violet pero hindi na nagsalita. When I got my food, I went back to my friends. They're in the doorstep. Nasa labas na nga si Lindrey habang ineejoy ang food niya.

"Dami ah." Komento ni Bea.

"Paki mo?" I asked back. I sat adjacent to Lindrey after I pulled out a chair. Casper on the other hand just stood up right in the wall behind me while resting his back and crossing his arms.

"Penge Nemesis ah." Tininidor kaagad ni LJ ang shrimp sa palabok ko. I just let her since I was taking a vitamin C, it could trigger my allergies.
