CHAPTER TWENTY SIX

ASK

"Casper!" I stood up and immediately run towards him. He's unconscious like how I saw him back in my condo. I tried to wake him up, tapping his cheeks.

"Casper, you dumb ass!" I gritted my teeth. Ni hindi ko alam kung saan siya galling, o kung anong nangyari sa kaniya. I let go of what happened in my condo. I didn't ask for any explanation because I respect his decision that he can't tell me anything. I respected Heidee's decision as well, back seeing Casper like this the second time around, I don't think I can't ask questions anymore. I think... have to.

"Casper!" I called him again, shaking his shoulders. His forehead slowly knotted and his eyelids moved before his eyes opened. He's in dazed so I waited for him to adjust until his lips formed into a small smile.

"N-Nemesis..." he groaned.

I sighed in relief when I saw him already conscious enough. He tried to sit up so I help his hand to help him. Eclipse sat beside me and staring at Casper.

"Ugh..." He groaned and clutch his head. "Ulo ko, pota."

I frowned at him. "Matanggal sana."

Natigilan siya at umangat ang tingin sa akin. He looks surprised, but I just frowned at him. I sighed in annoyance before standing up. I was about to walk away when he held my ankle.

"Casper, tatadyakan ko 'yang mukha mo." I hissed.

He chuckled. "Manghinayang ka naman sa mukha ko, hon."

"Anong nakakapanghinayang diyan?" I pulled my ankle away from his hold before walking away. I walked towards my table. Nakabukas pa 'rin ang phone ko. I saw Casper's photo in a hospital ward, with Cianna sitting on the bed. I stared at it for a moment before I turned it off.

I didn't hear Casper so I tried to look back to check on him but I almost jumped on my spot when I saw him standing right behind me. My eyes widened with surprise. We just have a few distance between us. I can't move a single muscle.

Bawal.

Nemesis, bawal.

"M-move..." I said in almost whisper.

His smile deepened, showing his dimples. I avoided his gaze but he spoke. "Ask."

Bumalik ang tingin ko sa kaniya dahil sa sinabi niya but my thoughts were suddenly gone when I saw him looking down on me because he's taller. He suddenly looked playful like he wanna do something crazy but I remained my posture. I looked on his brown eyes...he's not staring at my eyes. He's looking down onto something...on my face.

"Perv!" I pushed his chest so he took a step back. He almost fell out of balance but good thing nakahawak siya sa upuan ko para alalayan ang sarili niya. I didn't even push him that hard! My brows furrowed. He closed his eyes and sighed.

"A-are you okay?" I hesitated to asked. "Maupo ka nga!" I guided him to sit down on my chair. I suddenly forgot that he just appeared here unconscious!

Nemesis, get a hold of yourself.

He sighed. "Nahihilo ako."

"Serves you right." I rolled my eyes and touched his forehead to check if he's sick again. "I'll go get some water."

"I'm good." He shook his head.

"Whatever." I answered.

He suddenly held my wrist. Kinuha niya ang phone ko sa table. He pressed my thumb on the sensor, and as it opened, his picture that Heidee sent to me showed up. He looked at me.
