Chapter Twenty Four: Save

CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR 

SAVE 

I was honestly surprised because of Casper but I just couldn't calm down even just a bit. Casper hugged me tight and keep whispering words that could calm me down, but my breathing became more ragged and I just keep on crying. I felt my blood gushing out of my wrist... I started to calm down because of the pain.

"Nemesis..." Casper whispered before pulling away from the hug. I didn't even bother to look at him. My mind became clouded. My eyes are focused on my wound. I wanted to feel the pain even more. I want to cut myself deeper so the pain inside me would go away...that the pain in my wound would overtake the pain inside me that I couldn't even name...I couldn't even feel.

My blood slowly dripped down the floor. I keep staring at it like I was possessed. I couldn't talk. I couldn't avoid my gaze anymore. My mind suddenly went blank... I don't know. I just want to explode and disappear.

"Nemesis..."

Why does the pain is still here? Why is it still inside me? Why isn't going away?

I'm not aware of my actions anymore. It's like my feet has its own mind as well as my hands. I couldn't recognize anyone or anything anymore, but my eyes settled on the knife with my blood on it. My right hand reached for it.

I need pain. I need more of it...I need to calm down...I just want to let this out...

Please...

Just this once...

But then...

"NEMESIS!!!" Someone cupped my face, making me lose my gaze on the knife... my eyes focused on someone with brown eyes. I blinked and tried to focus.

"Nemesis!" he called again. I couldn't recognize him in an instant but his eyes were all familiar. His light and carefree face. His thick furrowed eyebrows... I know him.

"C..Casper?" My thoughts came rushing back in an instant as if I was awake.

"Thank God..." Napatingala siya bago niya inayos ang buhok na tumabing sa mukha ko. He's cupping my face softly and he's looking at me worriedly.

"You need to comeback." He said.

My forehead turned into a knot. I can feel the pain in my wrist so I looked down. I saw blood dripping down from it.

What happened?

I tried to remember what happened. All I remember is my mom called me...and my nightmares came rushing back and I don't know what happened anymore. My eyes suddenly became blurry but realizing that Casper was awake in front of me. I breathe heavily.

I looked at Casper. "Y-you're okay..." That's all I said before my surrounding spins. "W-what happened?" I asked.

But before I could hear his answer...I just snapped into darkness.

I woke up wincing with pain. I groaned and opened my eyes. Someone's holding my hand so I looked at it. The first thing I saw was a bottle of anti-septic and the first aid kit...and a pair of hands. I saw Casper focused doing something on my hand.

"Casper..." I whispered.

He looked at me with a calm look on his face. He smiled. "Hoy. Gising ka na."
