Namjoon came downstairs just as I was bringing the pizzas in after they were delivered. I was expecting just one but two is cool with me.
"Ah, I'm starving." He ruffled a towel through his hair as he let out a playful groan.
"You didn't eat at work?" I asked as I put the pizzas down on the table. He took the towel from his hair and to throw over his shoulder instead which was mad fine ngl.
"I didn't get to eat much. It was so busy." He immediately jumped to the pizza boxes, taking out a slice from the box on top. "Probably a granola bar around noon, is all I've eaten today." He spoke with his mouth full.
"No wonder you were so tired, you had no energy." I chuckled, diving into the boxes next. He nodded along.
"They had food out... but I just wanted to keep working. It's my own fault." He snickered behind his hand.
"Do better, Namjoon. I raised you better than this." I joke with my arms crossed.
"I know I know. I just wanted to get home. I was just working nonstop." He mumbled and looked away.
"You gotta take better care of yourself dude. Your body is too big for you to treat it like this."
"My body is too big?" He chuckled in confusion.
"Because you're tall and muscular and stuff. You have a lot to support. People like you can't go without eating like that. Lemme find out you didn't eat at work again." I looked him up and down. He laughed and continued eating.
"I think I have the day off Wednesday. But the police are coming back tomorrow. Do you want anyone to be here with you when they come?" I nodded in response.
"You, Jungkook, and Yoongi." Those three came to get me from the hotel, so I wanted them here for the questioning. They should know everything that happened. Everything.
"Oh? We can try our best to get here in time. Don't worry." He gave me the cutest smile.
"So all of you work together?" I leaned on the table. He froze up for a second and looked away. He's about to lie.
"N-"
"Don't lie." I gave him a straight face. He sighed and looked down.
"Yes... we're under the same management so we have similar schedules." He answered as he looked down like a guilty child.
"Why lie about it?" I shrugged.
"We're not supposed to talk about our work. It's just..."
"Are you sure you're not like government workers or something." I laughed. He chuckled a little.
"It's complicated. I don't want to confuse you with it when there's already so much going on."
"I don't know, Joon. I'm more big brain than you think." I tsked and reached for another slice.
"More big brain?" His head tilted.
"It's like smarter, basically."
"Ahh, big brain." He pointed at his head and laughed. It was quiet for a little until he spoke again. "Did you um.. did you call me Joon?" His eyes flickered between mine and somewhere else as his dimples slowly deepened.
"Oh, yeah. Do you not like to be called that? It was a heat of the moment th-"
"Usually just my close friends and family call me that. It's very cute that you do too." His voice was a little softer. Oh my fucking god he's adorable. "Do you have any nicknames?"
"No. It's just Zaina. Always has been, always will be." I chuckled.
"Just wait a little. Jin will find a nickname for you." He smiled and reached for his second slice. "I'm glad that we were still able to eat together tonight. But we're definitely going to the restaurant before you leave. If you want Korean culture, that restaurant has all of our most traditional foods. And it's nearby the Han River, which is very beautiful this time of year because the ground and water are covered in cherry blossom leaves." He rambled with so much excitement in his voice that I almost changed my mind on the reservations tonight.
"I love cherry blossom trees. They're so beautiful when the leaves fall." I smiled softly.
"Do you have a favorite tree? Mine are bonsai trees. I have a few around the house." His eyebrows raised.
"Definitely redwood trees. All time favorite without a doubt." I nodded quickly.
"Redwood? I don't think I've heard of those." His head tilted. I pulled out my phone to find pictures.
"They're usually in Central America. They're the biggest trees in the world. Look." I showed him my phone, a picture of a person standing next to one of the trees. His eyes instantly lit up with excitement again.
"Wahhh! Look at those!" He was so excited that he was switching back and forth between languages. "The earth is amazing to have produced these..." He was in complete awe.
"That's what I said! These trees are amazing! They literally made a tunnel out of one." I fangirled with him.
"Have you ever seen one in person?" He looked back at me now as I shook my head and put my phone away. "Do you want to?"
"Huh?" I immediately looked back up at him in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"We can go to this forest one day. I'll go with you if I ever come to visit you in America." He smiled, his face still bright with excitement.
"You don't have to do that, Namjoon. I feel like seeing one of these trees may actually kill me. I love huge things." I smiled to myself as my voice got softly.
"Oh no, I don't want that." He sounded honestly concerned.
"It's an expression. Not literally."
"Oh." He giggled and looked away.
"Since neither of us are eating anymore, let's put the pizzas away and sleep. It almost midnight." I went to close the boxes and take them to the kitchen. Back home when we put pizza away after just ordering it, we put it in the oven for the night, and then the fridge the next day. So I put them in the oven and returned back to Namjoon. Dude, this man is sooo cute.
"I'm not too tired... I'll spend time with you again." He nodded.
"Okay, that's cool." I chuckled and headed upstairs.
"I'll meet you there." I watched him walk off.
Walking back into the room that I was sleeping in, i just let out a breath. I think I might have a crush on him. No one has ever gave me butterflies like this, or even made me smile so hard. Even thinking about him had my heart beating quicker.
Oh god, when he hugs me... He smells so damn good. I can't even name the smell, he just smells like a warm home on a cold day. What I wouldn't do to be surrounded by this smell constantly.
Don't even get me started on the actual feeling of him hugging me. Because he holds me so close and tight, it's very hard to believe that he's not much into physical affection when his hugs are so perfect.
Mix his hug with his smell and his deep voice mumbling into my ear, like that's just a crush waiting to happen. Add his handsomeness, his height, and his adorable dimpled smile, and you're asking me to fall in love.
But I know better that to just blindly love like that. I did it once, even twice, but never a third time.
