"AHHHHH!" I screamed as I sprinted away from the building. I had just barely gotten away from Gage. And just barely in time, to, because as I was running for my life an extremley loud KABOOOOM sounded behind me, and I could feel the hot fire on my back. The explosion pushed me forward, and I flew a few feet before landing flat on my face.
"OOOOWW!" I screamed. I covered my face with my arms as the ash and dirt and probably pieces of the factory (and probably dead people, I hated to admit) flew over me. Once all the noise stopped, besides a small ringing in my ear from the explosion, which was freaking annoying, I stood up and looked around. I could feel a small trickle of blood dripping down my face, and I could barely put weight on my left ankle so I assmued it was sprained. There was still a thick layer of dirt, so I could only see a few feet ahead of me.
"Liam? Kayla? Harry?" I called, coughing and walking around. Those were really the only people I cared about surviving.
I heard someone coughing a distance away. "Hello? Marisa?"
"Harry?" I called, recognizing the voice. I walked towards him, and the dust cleared enough for me to see him limping towards me.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, besides almost being blown to pieces," I replied. "Do you know where Liam and Kayla are?"
"We seperated, remember? I have no idea."
We walked around, moving piles of wood around, and as continued searching and searching, my mouth got really dry and I realized it was really hard to breathe. I wasn't sure if it was from worrying about them possibly being under this rubble or from the thin air.
"OOOooh jesus," Harry called.
I gupled and prayed it wasn't Liam or Kayla.
"Don't worry, it's just a scientist dude," He said, touching the limp body with his foot. I immediatley looked away from the burns, trying to swallow without throwing up. I remembered Louis's bodies looking pretty similar. We just didn't have luck with explosions.
"But what if next time it's not? What if we find....them?" I said.
He looked away and continued searching.
I was shifiing through a pile and pulled a piece of wood away and gasped. His hair was covered with dirt, his eyes closed, and his body in an awkward position.
I pushed all of the splintery wood away and pulled his body up, pushing dirt out of his face. "Liam? Liam!"
His body stayed limp.
"Harrrryyyyyyyy!!!!!!" I screamed.
He jogged over to me. "What the hell.....oh."
"Yeaaah!" I screamed, lightly slapping Liam's face. "WAKE UP!!!"
Harry stayed calm and kneeled down next to me as I hypervenaliated. He touched two fingers to Liam's neck and closed his eyes. I held Liam close, not breathing.
"He's got a pulse," Harry said.
"Thank the lordddd," I said, gasping. "Is he unconcious?"
"No, he's taking a nap in a pile of rubble," He replied.
"Welllll stop being smarty and wake him up!" I said.
"How?!" He replied. "Here, you watch him, I have to find Kayla." He let go of Liam and started pulling away more rubble, with more determination now.
"What am I supposed to do with him?" I asked, not able to hold his body up. I set him down next to me, thinking he will just open his eyes and smile at me.
