"Thank you so much for coming and standing with us" I said as I embraced Carmen before we pulled away. "Of course Serena. We're family. Family's stand together no matter what" She replied as she held my hands and I smiled. "Again, I'm sorry for your loss" I said as I turned to Kate and Tanya.
"Thank you for your condolences Serena. I wish Irina had made better decisions but she didn't. She knew the consequences of her actions and she paid the price with her life. But we will never forget her" said Tanya and I nodded. "She's at peace now" I replied and they both nodded as they smiled. "Bye aunt Tanya and aunt Kate!" Said Colette as she ran over and embraced the two of them.
"Your children are truly astounding Serena. They're going to be remarkable people like yourself and Edward" said Eleazar as he stood beside me. "I never I was missing so much I held them for the first time" I replied as I looked at him and he smiled. I felt a smile come to my face as I watched Masen and Garrett do their secret handshake they had created.
"Do you promise you'll visit us princessa?" said Carmen as she picked up Colette who nodded. "We look forward to it!" Eleazar replied as he smiled at Colette. I walked over to my mom, Mauricio, Carlos and Theresa. "It was lovely to meet you Serena" said Theresa as she hugged me. "You too. Thank you for all your help with helping me develop my gift" I said as we pulled away.
"Anytime. Make sure you visit Spain sometime. We'd love to show you around" said Theresa and I nodded as I smiled. I stood with my mom as we watched Mauricio and Theresa walked into the woods disappearing in the trees. I turned and waved at the Denali's before they too disappeared into the woods. I felt my mom wrap her arm around my waist and I leaned my head on her shoulder.
"You finally get you happy ending" she said as we watched Masen and Colette have one last play around with Benjamin. "It wouldn't have been possible without you" I said as I wrapped my arm around her waist. "You may be a wife and mother now but you'll always be my little girl and I'll always be here by your side" said my mom and I felt her kiss the top of my head.
"Well no matter how old I get" I said as I turned and looked at her. "I'll always need my mom and I'm lucky enough to have you forever" I said and she smiled before leaning forward and wrapping her arms around me as we hugged.
Later on that day, Edward and I were sat in the field as we watched Masen and Colette play with Jacob and Leah. "You know you can be honest with me Edward. Did you or did you not hear me fart when I slept?" I said as I looked up at him causing him to laugh. "Serena you're being ridiculous!" He laughed. "I've just always been curious" I said as I giggled.
"Well, now that you're a vampire, I believed you have answered your own question" He replied. "I knew it!" I said causing him to laugh once more. I sat up from his chest and turned around so I was facing him. "I have something to show you" I said as I grabbed his hands in mine. "What is it my love?" He asked, his thumb stroking my knuckles.
"You know how you've always asked me what I'm thinking or what's on my mind but you have never been able to see?" I said and he scrunched his eyebrows as he nodded. "Well, I've been training my power and discovered something" I said causing his face to look more confused. I closed my eyes as I felt the familiar energy in my chest before it radiated to my mind.
As I opened my eyes, I saw the glow of red illuminate off of me onto Edward, his eyes turning red and slightly clouded.
Edward's P.O.V
I watched as Serena closed her eyes before a red glow appeared around her body and radiated off of her onto me. The feeling was indescribable. It was a sort of sensation I felt run through my hands and legs up to my chest before finally my mind where I saw them. Serena's thoughts. Flashes of her childhood with a young girl who looked like Serena but slightly different along with a younger Angelica appeared first. The first time we met, our wedding, Colette and Masen flashed through my mind as well as an overwhelming feeling of love.
The memories faded as well as the sensation and I looked up at Serena in awe. "That was amazing" I said in amazement as I looked at her.
Serena's P.O.V
I giggled as Edward continued looking at me in shock and awe. "How did you do that?" He asked eagerly. "Turns out that my powers can be used as more then a defensive talent" I said as I giggled. "I can manipulate my energy to do what I wish with it whether that means cause someone pain, or project my thoughts and feelings. Now you know what is always on my mind as well as the love I hold for you" I said as I squeezed his hands in mind.
"I never imagined we would have this. Married with a family of our own - having survived every hurdle that has come our way. And as crazy as it sounds, I would go back and do it all again if it meant I got to relive the greatest moments of my life" I said as I looked over my shoulder at Masen and Colette. "I have never loved anyone as much as I love you Serena Cullen; well there are two exceptions. You are my heart outside of my body, my world, my everything and without you, I would be nothing. You not only taught me what love was but showed me different kinds of love and how powerful it can be. I will never be able to find the words to describe all you mean to me but I will spend the rest of my life searching for them" said Edward and I smiled.
"I love you" I said before Edward leaned forward and scooped me up before putting me in his lap as I wrapped my arms around his neck, my legs across his lap. "Forever?" He said as he gently stroked my face and I smiled as I nodded. "Forever" I said before leaning forward pressing my lips to his as he held me tightly.
And from that moment onwards, our forever that we fought so hard for for,
had finally begun...The End.
