I was stood in the living room of the Cullen's house alongside Bella and Christopher. My mom and Carlos stood off to the side as Bella took a step forward. "You all know what I-we want. And we know how much we're asking for" said Bella. "And the only thing that we could think of to make the whole thing fair is to have a vote because if Bella and I become...vampires, it's not just going to affect us" I spoke up as I stood beside Bella.
"You don't know what you're talking about""Edward, shut up. Everyone here knows your opinion on this. You've had your say. It's only fair that everyone else gets theirs too" I said as I turned looking at him. "Lets get started. Alice?" said Bella and I watched Alice's smile widen. "I already consider the both of you my sisters, yes" said Alice as she skipped over and wrapped Bella and I in tight hugs.
"Thank you" I said as we pulled away and she smiled. "I vote yes. It would be nice to not want to kill you all the time" Jasper said stiffly and I smiled. "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry to both of you for how I've acted. And I'm really grateful that the both of you were brave enough to go and save my brothers. But this isn't a life I would've chosen for myself. And I wish that there would have been someone to vote no for me. So no" said Rosalie.
"I vote hell yeah" said Emmett before he too walked over and gave Bella and I huge hugs. I giggled as he spun me around before putting me down. "And we can pick a fight with these Volturi some other way" he said as he pulled away. I nodded as I smirked. "Mom?" I asked as I turned to my mom and Carlos.
"I vote yes. You're all I have left. I was apart from you for a year and its been 3 years since Charlotte was taken from us. I can't bear the thought of spending the rest of my life without you in it so if there's a chance that we can live together forever then I'll take it. I also vote yes for you Bella" said my mom and Bella nodded.
I smiled and walked over to my mom hugging her tight. "I love you" I whispered before we pulled away. I walked back over to Bella and stood beside her. "I vote si. You're both in charge of the direction your life goes. So if this is what you want, don't let me stop either of you" said Carlos and I smiled.
"I already consider the both of you apart of the family. Yes" said Esme and my smile widened. Carlisle walked forward and looked up at Edward as he stood on the stairs alone. "Why are you doing this to me? You know what this means" said Edward, a look of disappointment on his face. "You've chosen not to live without her, which leaves me no choice. I won't lose my son" said Carlisle.
"Christopher, are you going to let Bella do this?" Edward asked as he looked at Christopher who sighed. "Edward, if I had it my way, I too would want Bella to remain human however, it is her choice. And if I get to spend forever with her then that makes me happy" said Christopher. Edward lowered his head and I looked around. "So that settles it" said Bella.
Everyone left the living room and I approached Edward. "We need to talk" I said and he nodded. We made our way outside and I climbed onto his back before he sprinted through the woods. Within seconds we appeared at the field which had now filled with beautiful flowers and lush green grass once more. Edward and I sat down in the field and I looked up at him.
"I am overjoyed that you're back in Forks but I need to say this" I said and Edward gave a nod encouraging me to continue. "I will never be able to express the pain that you caused me. I have never felt a pain like that in my life. Not in losing my sister or my uncle. It felt like someone had punched a huge hole in my chest and grabbed my heart, crushing it in front of me. All of that was caused by the person I love the most in the world. I'm not going to lecture you. But I need to say that, things won't be the same as before. We're now back to square one because you broke my trust and you need to earn it back. You need to prove to me that you're not going to abandon me, lie to me, leave me again. Once you have done that then the healing process can begin and we can move on together from this" I explained and Edward nodded.
"I understand. And I will wait for you Serena, no matter how long it will take. I will always be here" said Edward.
