Edward wrapped his arms around me as he held me close. "We won't be needing your services after all gentlemen" said Christopher from beside Edward and I. "Are wants to speak with you again" said the tall dark haired one. "No rules were broken" said Edward. "None the less, we should take this conversation to a more appropriate venue" said the smaller one in a British accent.
"Fine. Serena, Bella, why don't you go and enjoy the festival?" said Christopher as he turned to Bella and I. "The girls come with us" said the tall one darkly and I felt my stomach turn. "No. You can go to hell" Edward argued. A bang behind us caused me to jump and I turned to see Alice walk through the door as the now broken lock fell to the ground.
"Come on guys. It's a festival. You wouldn't want to make a scene" said Alice as she walked over to us. "We wouldn't" said the tall one once more before a third person began to approach us. "Enough" said the girl as she threw off her hood approaching us. "Jane" said Edward as she stopped. She was the shortest out of all of us with her blonde hair pulled back.
As I looked at her, I realised how young she looked. She physically had to be around 13-15 years old. Her blood red eyes looked at me and I averted my eyes to the ground as I gripped Edward's hand. "Are sent me to see what was taking so long" Jane said bluntly as she looked at the two men before turning and walking off once more.
Edward began walking forward and I looked at Bella and Alice anxiously as Christopher walked beside Edward. "Just do as she says" said Alice and I swallowed the lump in my throat. As we walked, the tall man handed Edward and Christopher a red robe each. Edward let go of my hand and slipped the robe on and tied it up. We turned a corner and made our way to a staircase.
"Go ahead" said Jane as she stepped aside motioning for Edward and I to continue walking down the stairs. Edward took my hand in his once more and I grabbed ahold of his arm in my other hand. I had never felt so much anxiety in my life. "Don't be scared" said Edward as if he read my mind. "Ok" I whispered back.
As we made it to the bottom of the stairs, the two men pushed two gates aside and some elevator doors opened. We all entered the elevator where some light opera music was playing and the doors closed as Jane pressed the button. The doors closed and I turned looking over at Bella who looked just as I worried as I was feeling.
After a few moments, the elevator came to a stop and the doors opened. Jane stepped out and we followed behind her, where I saw a woman sitting at a desk. She greeted us in Italian with a warm smile on her face. I looked at her eyes and saw them to be brown. Not dark brown like a starving vampire, a warm normal brown. A human receptionist? I thought to myself.
"Is she human?" I heard Bella ask Christopher. "Yes" Christopher muttered in response. "Does she know?" Bella continued. "Yes" said Christopher. "Then why would...she wants to be" said Bella. "And so she will be" said the British man. "For dessert" chimed Jane and my eyes widened. We came to two dark wooden doors which Jane pulled open.
As we entered the room, my eyes fell upon the three male vampires sitting in their chair-like thrones. "Sister. Send you out to get two and you bring back four. Such a clever girl" said a boy as he approached us. "What a happy surprise" said the black haired man who was sat in the centre as he stood from his chair. The two men behind him remained seated as I looked at them.
One had shoulder length blonde hair, an evil smirk on his face, and the other had light brown hair, his face solemn. "Bella and Serena are alive after all. Isn't that wonderful?" said the black haired man as he approached us. "I love a happy ending" he continued before he reached forward grabbing Edwards hand out of mine. "They are so rare" he muttered.
He muttered something in Italian before looking at me. He then turned to Christopher and grabbed his hand and a smirk came to his face. "Their blood appeals to the both of you so much. It makes me thirsty" said the man and I had to calm my breathing as it picked up. "How can you stand to be so close to them?" the man continued. "It's not without difficulty" said Edward.
