Chapter 58

"That smells amazing" I said as I entered the kitchen to see Edward cooking some bacon and eggs. He smiled and I wrapped my arms around his torso as he placed my food on a plate. "The pillows survived this time" I said and Edward chuckled as he wrapped his arms around me. "Practice makes perfect" he said and I smirked.

"Told you" I whispered before he leaned down pressing his lips to mine. We pulled away and I walked around to the stool before sitting down. Edward slid my plate over and I dug into the food. "Slow down Serena. You might make yourself sick" said Edward as he chuckled and I giggled. "Must've been last night" I said as I winked.

He shook his head before turning to the window. I looked around him and saw a small boat coming to the island. Edward left the villa as I finished off my food and I saw him walking back with two people. "Serena, these are our housekeeps, Gustavo and Kaure. Esta é minha esposa Serena(This is my wife, Serena) " said Edward as he introduced us.

"Hi" I said as I smiled and the man nodded. "Com licença (Excuse me)" said the man before he and his woman walked off, the woman shooting Edward an evil glare. "Well I guess we just leave them to it" said Edward awkwardly and I giggled. "So what was that all about?" I asked as Edward and I sat on the couch. I threw my legs over his lap as he stroked them.

"She's afraid for you" said Edward and I scrunched my eyebrows. "What? Why?" I asked as I leaned back onto the couch. "Because, I have you here all alone" said Edward as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder leaning closer to me. "Wait a minute, she knows you're a vampire?" I said as I looked at him surprised.

"She suspects. She's native Ticuna. They have legends about blood drinking demons...who prey on beautiful women " Edward replied before he leaned down kissing me. My fingers ran through his hair as I kissed him back. "Monstro! (Monster!)" said Kaure as she stood across the room holding the torn sheets in her hands.

"Hey!" said Gustavo as he walked by holding the broken bed head in his hands. She followed him out of the villa and I giggled as I buried my head into Edwards chest.

After all of the broken pieces of the bed were removed from the room, it was finally clean again as I crawled into bed and rested my head on Edwards chest as he draped his arm over my waist. "I can't believe tonight will be my last night as a human" I said as I looked up at him. "Time flies when you're having fun" Edward joked and I laughed.

"Are you ready for the change?" he said as he looked at me and I nodded. "Yeah. I'm ready to start my new life as one of you" I replied and he smiled before pecking my lips. We pulled away and I got comfortable. "Goodnight my love" Edward said as he traced circles on my back and I drifted off into a peaceful slumber.

Edwards P.O.V

I looked over at the time and saw it was 3:04 AM. I closed the book I was reading and quietly placed it on the bedside table before I got out of bed. I changed out of my pyjamas into a pair of shorts and a blue button down shirt. I walked out of the room and into the lounge where I saw some stationery on the table. I pulled a piece of paper off of the notepad before grabbing a pen.

I wrote a note to Serena for when she wakes up before leaving it on the kitchen counter. I walked into the bedroom and saw Serena fast asleep. I smiled before leaning down and kissing her forehead softly. She gave a light groan before she shifted. I walked do the villa doors and gave Serena one last look before I left into the night.
