Later that night I walked with Edward up the stairs of his house as we entered the living room where I saw the rest of his family waiting as Alice rushed around moving things. "Serena! It's so good to see you again! I'm so glad you could make it" said Esme as she wrapped me in a tight hug. "It's good to see you too" I replied as I hugged her back.
"You look stunning" she said as she looked at me. I was wearing a dark purple satin cocktail dress with my hair in a curled half up-half down style. We pulled away and Edward and I walked over to the stairs. I held Bella's gift from Edward and I in my hands as we waited. "No don't put that there Emmett!" Alice snapped and I stifled a laugh as Emmett held his hands up in defence.
"Ok, everything is perfect! I'm going to go and get Bella and Christopher" said Alice before she disappeared up the stairs. Bella is going to hate this I thought to myself as I felt Edward wrap his arm around my waist. After a few seconds, Alice, Christopher and Bella appeared at the top of the stairs before Alice practically dragged Bella down the steps.
"Sorry about all this. We tried to rein Alice in" said Carlisle as he and Esme approached Bella and Christopher. "As if that were even possible. Happy birthday Bella" said Esme as she wrapped Bella in a hug. I approached Bella next and wrapped her in a hug. "Happy Earth Day Bells" I said and she chucked. The camera flashed as Alice took a photo and Bella turned to her.
"I found it in your bag. You mind?" asked Alice. I took my place next to Edward on the stairs as he wrapped his arm around my waist. "Dating an older woman, hot" Emmett said to Christopher as he stood beside him. I covered my mouth as I giggled and Christopher gave him a weird look. Alice walked over to Rosalie and handed her a box wrapped with ribbon.
"It's a necklace. Alice picked it out" said Rosalie bitterly as she handed Bella the gift. "Thanks" said Bella as she took the gift. Alice dragged Christopher from the stairs to Bella's side. "Show me the love" said Alice before she took a photo of the two with Bella's camera. "Serena, Edward, you next" said Alice and I grabbed Edwards hand pulling him down the stairs with me.
I handed Bella her gift as she unwrapped it. "It's a moonstone necklace to match your ring" I said as she pulled it out of the box. "Wow, thanks guys" said Bella as she placed the necklace in the box. "Told you she'd love it" I whispered to Edward as we stood off to the side. "This one's from Emmett" said Alice as she handed Bella a medium sized box.
As Bella shook the box, no sound came from it causing her to turn to Emmett with a confused expression on her face. "Already installed it in your truck. Finally a decent sound system for that piece of cra-""Hey don't hate the truck" said Bella causing everyone to chuckle. "Open Esme and Carlisle's" said Alice as she handed Bella the envelope.
"Just a little something to brighten your day" said Carlisle. "Yes you've been looking kind of pale lately" Esme joked. Bella fumbled with the present when she winced before holding up her finger. "Ow. Paper cut" she murmured. I felt Edward tense beside me before he suddenly disappeared from my side.
