Chapter 64: Desk

Present

One thing Harry has learnt about working around Louis is that the boy is distracting. The way he lays down stomach-down on the couch in Harry's office, hips lifted a bit for no apparent reason, showing off the swell of his bum more. Harry can't help but flick his eyes from the laptop to him, savouring as much as a glance as he can.

"I can see you watching me." Louis' eyes split open and he smirks lightly, wiggling his eyebrows. He then moves up so he is on all fours, smiling to himself when Harry's breath hitches.

"I was making sure you were still breathing," Harry whispers with a flush of his cheeks.

"I didn't know my lungs were in my ass," Louis grins and walks over to Harry's desk, pushing his laptop out of the way to sit right in front of him. Harry looks at him from under his eyelashes, not missing the suggestive look Louis gives him.

Harry stands up suddenly, kicking the office chair away from him. He grips Louis' thighs and goes in for a kiss.

"Morning!" The door opens, Perrie walking in with Layla in her arms. Louis jumps harshly and Harry stops his movement just before he meets Louis' lips and pulls away, frustrated. "Sorry to interrupt, I bought you some food. Thought you wouldn't have lunch planned yet." Harry walks over to her with a plastered smile, taking the large, paper bag.

She glances at Louis quickly, who is just getting off of the desk. "And there is enough for you too, Louis..." He gives her an awkward smile and moves to stand next to Harry. "And I apologise for the other night. I was drunk, had no filter. I didn't mean to upset you..."

"It is okay. All is forgiven," Louis replies, shifting uncomfortably on his feet. Relief washes over Perrie's face immediately and she bounces Layla up into her arms so she is secure again.

"Thank you... Why don't you two have dinner with Zayn and I? A double date of sorts this weekend?" Harry looks at Louis first, a questioning look expressed on his face, when Louis nods, he agrees easily and Perrie smiles widely. "Oh great! I get lunch for Zayn, too. Would you mind if I left Layla with one of you while I run and give it to him?"

Harry motions to Louis, and before Louis can protest, Layla is put into his arms. The girl now has a soft, light brown layer of hair on her head, her eyes boardederd with long eyelashes and her teeth beginning to poke though her gums which shows when she smiles up at Louis. He smiles back, not aware of Harry fondly glancing at the two with eyes full of love and adoration.

Louis steps backwards until his legs hit the couch and he sits, cradling the girl who is dressed in a lilac purple onesie, which Louis can't help but compare to the consistency of a towel.

"Are you okay with holding her while I just do a bit more work?" Harry asks and walks over to them, pecking Louis' forehead before doing the same to Layla's. Louis looks up at him, twinkling eyes and a soft smile. He nods and Harry says a quick thank you as he places the bag of food down on the small table on the right side of the grey couch, ready for him and Louis to eat in a bit.

Just as Harry sits back down, the door swings open again, this time the wood presents Arthur instead. "Hi, bitch," Arthur greets Harry with a wave. He hears a sound from Layla and glances to the side. "Oh, hi lover boy. And hi bubba Layla."

"What are you doing here?" Harry sighs, shaking his head at the boy's immature antics.

"Seeing Liam, desk sex and all that shit." Harry raises an eyebrow at him and Arthur puts his hands up in surrender. "It was a joke. I joke. Calm down..." He turns to Louis, mumbling with stiffened lips, "what is wrong with him?" Louis just shrugs and allows Layla to grab at his finger, his attention now on Harry.

"Nothing. He is just trying to do work, I think," Louis murmurs in return.

"I can hear both of you." Harry grumbles and begins typing away on his laptop.

"Have desk some sex, Harry. I am sure Louis would bend over in a second for it. It may make you less grumpy. Bye now."

Harry tugs the table to the front of the couch for them to eat at. He sits on the couch and begins pulling out the food, eyeing Louis who is at the large glass windows, looking out at the city, as he does so. "Coming over for food, Petal?"

"'M not really hungry." Louis slowly begins walking over, grimacing a little at the food. Harry notices this, but doesn't comment. Instead, just opens the still-warm chinese food and passes a tub of it to Louis.

"I don't know if I can..."

"You can, I believe in you," Harry replies and passes Louis a plastic fork. Louis slowly begins to eat, as does Harry, both in silence, just enjoying one another's company. It isn't until halfway through their lunch break when Harry speaks up. "So... I have this business trip. It is coming up soon. Will you go with me?"

"Of course I will!" Louis' face suddenly brightens and he sets down his mostly-eaten food as Harry does. "When is it? Where?" Harry chuckles and pulls him in for a hug. He presses a kiss to his head, stroking his side which is arched from being lent on Harry.

"Let me go get the email up."
