(Y/N) didn't think the Autobots would throw a surprise birthday party, or that Optimus wouldn't choose to miss the party.
(Y/N) and their family returned from a week-long trip at the grandparents' home. Their mom turns on the lights.
"SURPRISE!"
(Y/N) is puzzled as to why their friends are at the house and throwing a party.
"Don't tell me you forgot about your birthday?" (Y/N)'s mom asks.
(Y/N) is embarrassed they forgot their birthday.
Everyone is enjoying the party for a good hour, enjoying the food and dancing. (Y/N) realizes Optimus isn't around.
"Prowl, where is Optimus?" (Y/N) asks.
"He's not interested in parties, so he went outside."
(Y/N) sees Optimus sitting at the table out on the deck, looking at the stars.
"What are you doing here?" Optimus asks as (Y/N) sits on the other chair.
"Why are you not inside at the party?"
"I don't mind missing parties. Usually, I'm busy while the others are having fun. Everyone but Prowl, I'm amazed he's interested in the party. However, I did help plan the party with your parents."
(Y/N) stayed and talked with Optimus until their mom said it was time to have cake. (Y/N) was able to get Optimus to join the others for the rest of the party.
